Yeah, same feeling with the movie and the Adaptation of amagi Brilliant Park, i doubt that KyoAni put their effort to moe rather than to the story aspect

for long, i've become KyoAni fan(not fanboy), especially for shows like Key's shows, chuuni, hyouka, haruhi, and K-On, but Kyoukai no Kanata is a mess for me

like what you said, the main character is nonsense, Mirai for example, is a perfect example on how KyoAni put too much moe in their shows recently, resulting a big hole in the core of the story. there's too much questions left unanswered (i hope there's sequel or anything to clear it all, despite it's poor BD sales) like 'who's Akihito' mom?' and much more

but again, i love KyoAni too much, giving KnK 8 is actually painful for me, if it produced by other studio like A-1 or madhouse with the same treatment, i'll ended up giving it 5.

Still, i love the animation and sound aspect. but i have to agree that story and character development is the most important aspect after all

i accidentally see your anime list, it seems that you gave Kyoukai no Kanata low score

to be honest, i'm pretty upset with the show, but some aspects like animation and sound still attached me

agree about the death, tbh i rated it low because it depress me, it's like watching physiological, in the bad way for me

the problem school days have is, it become nonsense in the second half as makoto fuck all the girl that has nothing to do with him, well actually school days for me is madoka of the romcom genre, but still nonsense

I thought the review was good, esp. with the intro, until you gave a summary of the entire final episode in the end. That ruins the show for someone who's never seen it. What was your reason for doing that?
