I've been under a ton of stress at uni lately so I haven't made much progress myself, but when I have some time I'll get back to it. I'm slowly working on a HGUC Zaku I.
The first part of S2 will be a prequel, based on the first LN (Washio Sumi wa Yuusha de aru), the second part I think is supposed to be new. I can't wait!
Sorry for the late reply.
I like the figs and gunpla. Especially the MG Zaku. Didn't know you were into boatgirls.
RE: YuYuYu, it's not a very controversial opinion. I don't think it was as good as Madoka, personally, but I still liked it a lot. Especially the fantastic OST. I've read the first LN and will be getting on the second one soon. I also have a lot of translated materials archived, and I have the Yuki alter fig (and soon the Tougo one). S2 is coming soon, so get hype.
I haven't tried waterslide decals yet. They're bound to be better than stickers, though. I hate stickers.
And sure, I'd love to see your builds.
I wouldn't really say that frame arm girls are 'harder' to build than gunpla in terms of build complexity, but from what I've seen they're more fiddly, have more things like seam lines to fix, and the plastic is overall a lower quality so they suffer from issues such as being too fragile, or too loose, or too stiff, etc. But most of the fuckups with my first one were entirely my fault.
Ohhh, the MG Hyaku Shiki is a good looking suit. Too bad the HGUC revive version looks like puke unless you paint over the gold.
Send me some pics of how the Nu turns out.
I've built one frame arm girl so far. It was my first attempt at doing stuff like seam welding and painting, and I screwed up basically everywhere you can screw up. It was a learning experience, but I'm fond of the result.
Tallgeese is the only Wing suit I can see myself getting, and that's mostly because of the head.
I now have a slowly growing appreciation of the Turn A, mustache and all.
Yeah. I'd already built those Valvrave units back in the day, but recently I decided to get into the hobby a little more seriously, and soon I'll start properly painting them too. I'm working on a HGUC Qubeley right now. My ultimate goal is to make custom Frame Arm Girls, though. :p
I've been discussing it a lot with Tank lately, since he's gone into it as well. You do/did gunpla as well, right?
I didn't particularly like any of the Wing mech designs, btw. I think I like the old UC stuff the most, as well as some of what I've seen from IBO. I have a Gusion lying around waiting to be built sometime.
I liked Victory. Sure it has some questionable parts (like everything to do with huge motorcycles spaceships), and Katejina Loos(e morals) is probably the worst Gundam woman I've seen so far, but overall it's enjoyable. Shakti a cute.
I'm about halfway through Wing. I can see why someone would hate it, but taken as mindless entertainment it's not too bad. The angsty bishounen thing is getting a bit old, but not enough to make me hate it. I like the Char clone.
Well it is always good to see the newbies. So you're taking on Double Zeta, eh? Well it starts getting entertaining at episode 11 and a bit between 16-20. Also don't feel bad about friend request denying, I do it with everyone because this account is more or less dead.
So there is another Evageek watching the big 3 mecha shows currently airing after all. Also, nice to meet you nervshatter, I'm that Twin Drive Sigma Aquarion guy you probably read about at Evageeks.

If they ever make the rest of the girls I'll consider getting the whole line.

I've been working through the gendums. My goal is to watch all of them in chronological order. I'm currently up to Wing.
