Thankyou so so much for the manga recommendation, I'm currently in the middle of reading Spirit Circle and I'm really enjoying it so far, its very different from anything else I've read! Ah, I get that! BL is a pretty hard one to recommend even as someone who has seen a decent amount of things in the genre. Fans of BL have always seen the few good shows that exist already (from my experience, many BL shows tend to be either really boring or have a lack of mutual consent in the relationship at some point), which means there's nothing left to recommend. (⁠´⁠-⁠﹏⁠-⁠`⁠；⁠)

I haven't watched the former two, but I love Kimi wa Houkago Insomnia too! The chemistry between all of the cast members feels so realistic, that atmosphere really drew me in. I ended up continuing on to the manga after the anime finished airing and now it's one of my favorites.

I agree with everything you said, and I have to add that Yuukoku no Moriarty really surprised me too with how impressive it was. I kept putting it off ever since it aired because I was prejudiced against Sherlock Holmes adaptations – who would've thought the man himself would end up becoming one of my all-time favorite anime characters? He's so well-written and authentic yet still has that certified anime guy coolness to him! Be sure to keep me updated once you get to the second part. ୧(｡•̀ڡ-)☆
