That is exactly what I thought... I'm still felling(feeling? or enjoying it?) the the first 3 episodes of it and because I think I found the anime that suits me well. I can relate so much. (but I feel the rest of the episode will be harem or something that will disappoint me). Like the OP though...
Exactly, he moved on without a second thought despite all that had happened, which makes the Rui relationship feel horribly forced. I'm not sure how anybody can sympathize with Rui given the way she acted throughout the first part of the story, she's literally become one of my most hated characters in the medium haha. I mean, she's your damn sister ffs... Seems the author has just said "fuck it" and begun building Natsuo a harem now, though. What once was an enjoyable (yet unusual) romance has now become somewhat of a cringefest, especially since we're seeing the story shown from the female perspective more than ever.
I post my art online-ish... It's super inactive and my drawing is mostly doodles on every one of my assignments. I have an instagram where I put it, but I rarely post. It's willow.doodles My mom's Cuban so I learned most of my spanish from her, but that's mostly just colloquialisms so I take Advanced Spanish during school. Japanese is just online, but I'm in Japanese 3 right now and I'm hoping to take Japanese in college!
I don't typically watch Ecchi, but I understand its appeal. I've slowly made a transition to more police, action, supernatural anime so ecchi has made its way less in those genres, but in some of the romance I've watched its been very prominent. I don't find it distracting, unless the ecchi = plot. I'm a straight female, so the ecchi doesn't really do anything for me and I don't see any negatives to it unless its overwhelming. P&S ecchi is fine by me. It's more of a comic relief than fan service so I enjoy it.
Well, HxH are actually quite different I'd say. Same author, but HxH is quite different compared to most shounen while Yu Yu Hakusho uses a lot of shounen tropes but near flawlessly. Regardless, Yu Yu Hakusho is one of the best looking 90s shows around and you've already seen Dragon Ball which was started 6 years before Yu Yu. Plus, what you list as your favorite anime (Bakemonogatari), the Director of that (Akiyuki Shinbo) basically got his start with Yu Yu. Anyways as for World Trigger and Sci-Fi, considering you put Steins;Gate in your favorites I can't imagine you hating Sci-Fi. Sci-Fi in general is very broad and with WT it mostly describes its setting but it's not "Hard Sci-Fi" where science and technology are at the forefront and concepts are explained in detail. (Like Ghost in the Shell.)
Anyways, I'll leave it at that, because I'm not sure if you just didn't want to be rude and outright say no to what I recommended. Lol
As for my favorite genre though, many may argue it's not a genre, but shounen is basically my favorite genre. Basically everything on my favorites is a shounen but to go further within shounen you have sports and action. Sports is probably my favorite genre (excluding shounen which is very broad) if it came down to it. Mecha, Slice of Life, Action and Psychological are all great genres. If i'm being honest, it's hard to pick an outright favorite genre though, it's more about how it's executed in a show/manga.
Lastly, is there a reason you don't read manga and why you don't score anything? (Just looking for your reason, not saying you have to do either of those things.)
I see you're talking about shounen with the person below me. (Don't know them, just a random observer.) Mostly just wanted to recommend a couple shounen, that being "World Trigger" and "Yu Yu Hakusho". Yu Yu Hakusho being a classic made by the same creator as Hunter x Hunter, there's not much else to say other than it's a straightforward shounen done very well. As for World Trigger though, I think it's pretty unique especially considering its world/sci-fi setting. Its manga just came out of hiatus after almost 2 years, and now would be a good time to catch up and possibly read it. (In general I would recommend World Trigger's manga over its anime, but I am also quite partial to World Trigger's soundtrack. Its visuals at times look bad though it also has moments where it looks good. Manga is also just quicker to consume if you don't have much time.)
yeah ^^;
i mean i sorta get where they’re coming from definitely! there’s a lot of similarity and shounen shows can be trope-y but it’s hypocritical of them pointing that out but having other trope-y anime as their faves!
in anime no one rly has good taste lol 😂
