Konnichiwa. Jerry desu.
I've been watching anime for many years and I'd consider myself as a normal anime watcher. In some people's eyes, I'd probably be considered an otaku and that's alright. I'm not much of a critic on anime and simply watch it for the entertainment. Hence, you'll notice that I generally give high scores and never give a rating for an anime dropped. One of the thing's I find delight in from anime is the soundtracks, whether it be the OP/ED or background music. Before I found MAL, I'd kept a collection of soundtracks relating back to the animes that had an impact. My palette for taste in music is quite large, but orchestral/instrumental soundtracks usually tend to leave an impression on me. However, these days I'm finding the modern electronic and contemporary music more enjoyable.
So I thought I'd compile a list of my favourite soundtracks from anime. Here are my top 10 (in no particular order): (Anime/Artist/Song)
1. Ao no Exorcist: Hiroyuki Sawano - Symphonic Suite DEVIL First Movement D-Evil
2. Tari Tari: 浜口史郎 - 海だったり、空だったり
3. Kara no Kyoukai: Yuki Kajiura - M01
4. Aldnoah.Zero: Hiroyuki Sawano - MKAlieZ
5. Puella magi Madoka Magica: 梶浦由記 - Sis puella magica!
6. Star Driver: Tomatsu Haruka - Monochrome ~version de l'apprivoiser~
7. Girl: DAOKO - さみしいかみさま (Lonely God)
8. Nami nomi zo shiru sekai (The World God Only Knows): Hayato Matsuo - Koi ~ Kuchizuke Made no Kyori
9. Macross Frontier: Megumi Nakajima - Aimo ~ Tori no Hito
10. Koutetsujou no Kabaneri: Hiroyuki Sawano & Cyua - Grenzlinie
These are only background or insert tracks. I'll do a list for OP's and ED's.
