The Slice of Life Club will be hosting a Cute Competition for the next seven weeks. It's pretty much going to be the same thing as our Moe Competition, except for the fact that characters from overly popular series weren't allowed in the contest (since they always win). It's time to give other cute girls a chance to shine. There are four different groups with 32 girls in each group. One girl from each group will go on as a finalist to face off against each other in two championship rounds. Our winner and finalists will get a special card edition in their honor and a spot on the club's layout.

As you can see, we have quite the long lineup of girls for our first round. Half of them will be eliminated after this round, though, so please vote to help us decide who stays and who goes!
P.S. Due to the club having so many members, we aren't able to send out newsletters to all of our members. If you would like to receive newsletters from the Slice of Life Club, post here.
Our newsletters include notifications on when our competition rounds start, club event information, information on our monthly banner contest (new feature starting in September), news about updates and changes to the club, etc.
P.S.S [b]We are in need of active card makers!
We do a few monthly editions and we really need some more card makers to help out with those. If you are interested in applying, click here
Note: Due to the club having so many members, a newsletter will not be going out to everyone after this round of the competition. If you would like to receive a newsletter informing you of when each new round starts so that you can go in and vote, please post in this thread. Thank you!
Dear member of The Mad Scientists,
Recently, newer admins of “The Mad Scientists” have been trying to reignite the flame that was once its community. We’ve been trying to make it active, and more fun. Unfortunately, our efforts have been failing. The number of active members has significantly dropped due to the long period of inactivity. As one of the newer admins who is trying to make a change in the community I have been doing everything I can, but without members, there can’t be a club. This is why I am informing you of the revival that is taking place. We hope that by sending this to many current but inactive members, we can increase the activity that goes on within the club. We would like each and every one of you to become active, to create a truly magnificent Steins;Gate loving community. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Sincerely,
Spidermanisgay
Yea Golden Time is by the same author as Toradora. It definitely isn't on Toradora level, but it's something worth checking out if you enjoy RomCom. GBF definitely isn't as flashy as 00, but for a Gundam guru like me (I've seen every major entry) it is nothing but amazing fanservice.
I'm enjoying StB, and want to try out Tokyo Ravens. Kyoukai no Kanata is gorgeous, but the story and characters all just feel flat to me. And Kill la Kill just makes me uncomfortable while watching it. It's trying too hard to be stylish.
It isn't a school exchange program. I graduated college in may and I got hired to teach english here with the JET program. My disease is called Ulcerative Colitis (basically the little brother of chrons). I'm extremely limited in what I can eat, especially in Japan because every god damn thing has milk in it. I have to run to the bathroom 20 times a day and it's just getting annoying. I kind of want to go back home, but I would like to stay another year and actually get good at the language. But well, who knows.
As for me I watched anime at school in japan and it was gundam, so all of the above! Are you watching Build Fighters? It's kind of amazing.
Aside from that Japan is pretty awesome, but sadly I think I'm only going to be able to do a year here. Too much stress on my body due to my disease, so everythings going to shit and it's only been three months. I'd like to stay longer, but I doubt I'll be able to.
What's your favorite show from this season?
Bus Gamer is also a survival game but involves more action (although it's short still, fun to watch).
One Outs is a mental baseball game (it doesn't get exciting until ep 2).
Then there's Golgo 13, a no-moral assassin (much like James Bond). But the series revolves around individual stories (loosely tied together). Hope this helps =D
