Actually, I have a rather mixed feeling with everything that is post-apocalyptic or dystopian. And yes, I heard about the quality of the soundtrack of ArKnights since my friends also love great game music. For example, the anime Psychopass is one I stopped watching because it all starts in a dystopian society. But when Steins;Gate and Danganronpa are franchises featuring such a dystopia kept at bay, when the introduction isn't in an awful place where nothing can be done, I can support it, perhaps?
Even I don't really know about it, I prefer focusing on optimistic narratives in fiction, and in reality I prefer imagining modernity with a positive light. But I also love the designs of, say, the sci-fi monsters in the 86 anime, or the Honkai Impact 3rd game.
I enjoyed farming and open-world in Minecraft a lot, and open-world in World of Warcraft and some of it in Elsword. But these days I prefer PvP games. Well, I'm mostly playing gacha games to see what I've been missing out on, but I really prefer PvP, and the projection of identity games permit. And the customization aspect too. With PvP, I think you've got a shot at fair fights more than in sports, at least for people with my physical condition (introverted weebs, probably?).
I prefer Fischl too, don't know if I've mentioned her. Chuunibyou for life. Not too much to say about Genshin...
As for Discord, you can send me your tag in DM if you want, however I do not use Telegram. Also, my Discord is Lolsebca#6116, as can be seen on my profile, you can send me a friend request there.
As for me, I do like different languages in art. It's often been the case with European art culture, I guess. Therefore it can bring a lot to know a lot of languages. Personally, it is multiculturalism that I wish to see in poetry or songwriting? Like, English and Japanese at the same time, at various times in a piece, or perhaps French/English, all those sorts of blending. Or perhaps even in a duet structure! Duet singing is something I want to eventually tackle, because I like how singing is about a declaration and two viewpoints can bring tension to it.
That's a long reply, so I'll try to answer to the best of my ability! But thanks for writing so much, I love meaningful discussions like these.
As for Touhou LostWord lacking a significant part of the usual Touhou gaming experience, I guess it's the same as Pokemon mainline games and the new MOBA, Pokemon Unite, that will be released on mobile in September. I did like some of the stories, though they're not all translated from Japanese (so I'll have to access the raw version on YouTube, probably). But I like how the story card limit-break and gacha mechanics let you find typical elements of the franchise, as well as learn some of the lore behind notions. I'm mostly into the community aspect of the Touhou Project, so the more laid-back feel of the game is fine by my standards. It's clear it doesn't have the nervous feel of lunatic one-credit playthroughs, as grinding becomes a necessity. But I feel that playing different gaming styles with the same characters has a particular mental strength to it.
True, there were danmaku elements in Azur Lane, and I'll probably get back to it after writing an article on Touhou LostWord. As for ArKnights, my friends keep talking about it, so maybe I'll give it a shot after Azur Lane. When it comes to Genshin Impact, I have already played a bit, and didn't really enjoy the experience. But I do have my favorite characters: Venti, Barbara, Klee, Jean and Hu-Tao. So I'll be following the lore, perhaps.
Oh, so your art is linked to your soul. The only way to keep it genuine, I guess. I might have already told you, but I study theater in college, and started writing (my first art experience, I presume?) fanfictions back in 2011... So 10 years ago, more than a half of my life! I'd be interested to know more about your lifepath, if it isn't too personal.
As for creating an album, it is indeed a project of mine! But a cover album about Touhou Project isn't one of those ideas. I do have a cover in mind, though, and in French: a piano solo cover of Petit Chat Clandestin by Raven's Jig. It's itself a cover of Lullaby of Deserted Hell. Also, yeah, I want to learn piano to write better melodies as well, so understanding how great composers think is one such step. As for EDM, I don't know, but electronica is more of a term I'd want to follow. EDM sounds more like rave-parties, electronica has more of an atmospheric feel?
As for the language for songs and covers: I already sang in Japanese (This Game by Konomi Suzuki for example) and in English (Bombs Away by ONE OK ROCK). I also know French and plan to sing it as I mentioned before, but I tend not to like French lyrics. It feels too... Close to home, maybe? Which is a good thing sometimes, but I like how another language can bring about a healthy distance between your daily life and your artistic pursue. I also know some Spanish and had a period when I loved Spanish covers. Thanks for having thought about collaborating with me in the future, right now I don't really have the vocal competence to claim being able to produce beauty, but later perhaps... I want to write lyrics in Japanese, eventually.
By the way, I probably confused Sakuya's ending with an arrangement I liked... It's mostly the melody I have interest in! Thanks for wishing me well for my piano skill! As for your music, it is true I focused mostly on a sentiment I first felt, there was also the ability to produce fantasy, I noticed. Sorry if my analysis felt superficial, it was so without a doubt. I also haven't produced music in a while since starting to sing and learn piano, but have improved... At least enough to know about equalization better.
You have health issues? I sure hope it can get better! Wishing you good luck in this regard, have a great day!
I did like the anime, but my favorite character actually is Enterprise and not Akagi. And I loved seeing 86 because the female MC looked like Enterprise, both in appearance and (I thought at least) in soul.
I haven't really touched Azur Lane the game, because I'm farming another gacha (Touhou Lost Word if you know) right now. But after Touhou I'll prolly go to Azur Lane, perhaps. TOO MANY GACHAS XD.
I'll listen to your stuff if I think about it. You draw super well as this is your artwork! I'm trying to learn to draw (but more interested by piano learning and novel reading at the moment). As for music, I love Touhou music!
You expressed interest in my music, and I'm glad you could find something good in it. To be honest, I keep it online but I'm not especially proud of what I did two years ago. I was still trying things out. Proof is I'm only starting my learning of music theory. I did dabble into sound design (not really mixing though) to experience music intuitively, though.
I wonder what peaked your interest.
My next music project would be singing + doing a piano solo at the same time, especially Steins;Gate's op - Hacking to the gate. But I also have a list of Touhou songs I'd like to eventually be able to perform, if I still like them enough to go through the hurdle (I'm a fairly bad pianist and ZUN is godlike).
Here's the list, all character themes:
1. Lullaby of Deserted Hell - Rin
2. Necrofantasia - Yukari
3. Bloom Nobly - Yuyuko
4. Night of nights - Sakuya
5. Locked Girl - Patchouli
6. Tomboyish Beloved Girl - Cirno
7. Septette for the Dead Princess - Remilia
8. Reach for the moon Immortal Smoke - Fujiwara no Mokou
EDIT: Found your music, I really like how it's filled with energy, and able to evoke emotions such as fear (The Boundaries of death once)
That's a sentiment I like to create sometimes!
