Well we talked about this already I guess but I just can't leave your comment without a written counter-argument.:p
I endorse Kimi ni Todoke over Bokura ga Ita for the following:
- First and for me the most important was that I hated the heroine from Bokura ga Ita. She was selfish, annoying, overemotional and absolutely determined to get hurt.
- On the other hand Sawako was one of the most adorable heroine's that I've ever seen. Her every interaction, smile or gesture almost made me happy too.
Ryuuguu Rena "Hauu~ omochikaeriii"
- Probably typical to shoujo but Bokura ga Ita focused on 2 characters. The others existed for the purpose of being tossed aside, broken or discarded. (poor Yamamoto Yuri *sob*)
Kimi ni Todoke featured many interesting characters with their own stories and interests and fully respected them all.
- That said I'll agree that bokura ga ita had more 'action' but while Kimi ni Todoke was quite innocent and platonic it should be noted that it was a huge blend of different genres and just like Clannad was.
Furthermore there's a lot of things I can say about Music, Seiyuus, and art that I won't mention... suffice to say, I didn't like Bokura because it was 'too' shoujo and I liked Kimi ni because it was somewhat more 'man friendly' shoujo.
*shocked* You didn't like Kimi ni Todoke ? What happened... you've always loved shoujo/josei anime's and I consider this one somewhat the best in it's genre, perhaps the only one I could appreciate.
The scores you give your anime"s are genuinely yours.
I just wanted to know why, and now that you mention it again it reminds me you're indeed that kind of man :p.
