Sure, I definitely want one, but it's still cheaper just buying miniatures so far. I should try to get my local gaming club to save up money for one, that would be sweet.

Was either SoH, Death Guard or Alpha Legion, and then I ended up buying Horus so I rolled with them. The loyalist legions just didn't catch my fancy much, and with the traitors I can use them as CSM in 40k as well. Plus, you can always play them as loyalist SoH or blackshields anyway, so there's a lot of options.
I've been kind of tempted to start Nids what with the tons of Genestealers I've got lying around, and now the Genestealer cult from the Deathwatch game, but they just suck too much atm to tempt me over. Never really fancied Necrons much though, I tried playing a friend's army a bit, but their ponderous style is kind of boring imo.

3D printers can't really do it that well yet. The real good ones cost a fortune anyway, and even then you'll have to spend hours just printing one model, not to mention sanding it down afterwards to remove the print lines. And that's assuming you've got a decent 3d model to start with. There's one guy making awesome models for the Tabletop Simulator game, but he's still got a way to go to cover everything.
Looking at Shapeways there's certainly room for experimenting with 3D printing, but just recasting stuff yourself is much more efficient if you want to mass produce quality reproductions.
That being said, GW has improved a lot lately after that retard Kirby stepped down, with cheap starter boxes, boxed games, bringing back specialist games and even trying to keep in touch with the fanbase. Not much they can do about killing Fantasy, but they are apparently releasing proper rules for AoS now. It's damage control allright, but at least they're admitting they've done some damage.

Horus Heresy basically. All the SM legions, Mechanicum, Solar Auxillia and some miscallenous lists like Imperial militia, Chaos cults, Questoris Knights, Shattered Legions, Blackshields, Legio Cybernetica and Ordo Reductor. Since it's mostly marines, it tends to be way better balanced than 40k too, even if FW prices makes it much more expensive.
I'm planing to start Sons of Horus, and I'm already building up both 40k and 30k Mechanicus.

Mostly Orks and CSM here, until I got tired of GW giving them shit rules and switched to Mechanicus. And I'm slowly hoarding up stuff to start a 30k Legion.

Walls aren't very Khorny though, even if they're made of skulls they're still obstacle for good old bloodshed.
