I enjoy your review about Elite Classroom. At first glance, i thought the MC was about to be as good as hachiman. I was really excited to watch another episode every week. But in every week my excitement just keep getting down, what a dissapointment -_-

I run the risk of sounding "high and mighty" with this, but I personally found that many people that start watching anime have like zero critical thinking skills or just don't use them. That may be a result of anime generally appealing to younger audiences, but I don't think it's as black and white as that. Personally I'd much rather they enjoy these fast-food-shows while they can. It's just that there definitely is a correlation between newer people that watch those shows and people with like 8+ mean scores, which I assume results in those high scores?

The comparisons between the character in Elite Classroom to those in Oregairu as a positive just go to show that while they may have enjoyed those characters in Oregairu, they don't appreciate how those characters were written and developed, their ambitions and circumstances and how they affected them as characters.

Anyway, I'll send you a request. Maybe next time you'll inspire me :)

I can't believe how similar our reviews are (and in a good way). Many of the points you made that I didn't were actually something I wanted to at least talk about myself but like you said, I just couldn't be bothered.

I have a feeling that what happened to Akashic Records last season is happening to this show now. Both shows are borderline unwatchable but for some reason float at one of the highest MAL scores this season. I always wonder what those people see in these shows that to me seem like a garbage fire >.<
