I totally get it with it with popular animes. I've always thought this just came to me as I aged but whenever i see an anime being regarded to as "deep", and you look at the fanbase and it's filled with young people, I simply know that the anime is going to be shallow and pretentious as hell lol. I have experienced this years ago with the 86 anime. People have been saying that it's a deep anti-war drama and then I watched it and I was like "What? That's it?" lol. But yeah, I figured that I would have definitely enjoyed it when I was younger so I still rated it high because it was really good, I just expected too much from an anime targeted for teenagers lol. I mean, I remember totally enjoying the first two Oregairu seasons when I was young, but when I watched the last season years ago, I just couldn't take it seriously anymore lol. Like high school aint that serious you guys 😂. But I guess thats just a thing that has stayed with anime fans through the generations, lots of exposition means deep. An example from recent memory is Oshi no Ko, too much exposition that nothing about the characters and drama feels natural, and I've seen it get labeled as a grounded depiction of the entertainment industry. But thankfully though, we're still getting a lot of maturely-written anime, I just recently watched the anime movie adaptation of Fujimoto's "Look Back" and damn, that's like one of most well-directed anime that I have ever seen like not even exaggerating and the writing just feels so grounded.
Lol I loved all the time that Nyanko sensei kept saying that he's just with Natsume because he's carrying the book of friends. Reminds me of that time that Natsume got turned to a child and he asked Nyanko sensei if they're friends to which he quickly said no to, and on the next scene he's literally sleeping on Natsume's arm. Like he's such a sweetheart lmao.


This would be the tree youkai. She appeared in season 3 episode 4 if i remember correctly. Yeah episodes showing his past just always hits like a truck. I remember that one scene he was running from a family that adopted him while calling for his father, like damn this poor boy.
lolll my tuition would be equivalent to 8k usd, im just so glad that i saved up just enough to pay it in whole. Oh well a lego set is just something that I impulsively thought of buying. I'm not really that interested right now because of how busy my life is lmao. I hope your uni isnt doing you that bad tho 😊.

Thinking about it, this whole not-liking-other's-recommendation thing is kinda similar to when parents asks you to do something that you're already doing or is planning to do, like you just feels demotivated to get into it because you're not doing it on your own choice anymore. idk im bad at explaining concepts😂. But yeah with song recs, id say its totally understandable to not like any of them easily, since music tastes kinda goes deeper for each person, like getting to know someone's fav genre is not enough to actually figure out which and what works well with their ears. Even learning a song that someone specifically likes and giving them something that sounds similar just doesnt feel enough.
Hm i dont think i remember that scene with tiny nyanko sensei but i can never forget that episode when he went to his old house, like damn, seeing him cry after reminiscing his time with his father messed me up so bad. But yeah, its the tree yokai episode that really broke me, his childhood + him reuniting with her in the last minutes + him realizing that she was the cat just made me cry so hard back then 😂, my fav episode tbh its just so unforgettable.

I know, the fact that Touko and Shigure knew about Natsume but still decides to love and accept him is so heartwarming i love them sm. Ohh you're reading the manga, I read from the wiki a long time ago that not much chapters comes out in a year. Didn't think that my impatient ass can handle waiting that long in between each chapters 😂😂 so i just thought that it would just be better for me to wait for new seasons, at least i will be getting years worth of content all in just 10 or so consecutive weeks. Hell yeah you should thank your friend for it, that should let her know that you're not the type that never actually watches what others recommend them (like me) 🤣🤣🤣

Yeahhh this anime also means so much to me. I remember first discovering this when I saw Go on the top of those seasonal polls back in 2016. I remember always having to hold back my tears after nearly each episode lol 😂. Crazy how that was all like 8 years ago.
