Nothing quite like Conan comes to mind. Maybe you want to try Kindaichi Shounen. That's probably your best bet as far as I know.

kindaichi is more episodic
btu also has an evil dude making complex plans for ppl to commit crimes and all and mcs solving
its main draw beside that is its case are constantly 8-16 chapters and go super in depth with multiple murders and suspects and focus on alot of the whydunnit




can also go full pretenious and just read the umineko mangas which are doable subsistute for the vn
and are deconstructions of the mystery genre as a whole

or higurashi which also has an anime which is horror based and time loop but also mystery

theres no pure good mystery shit anymore

they dont survive well,

Luffy was indeed depicted a lot weaker. I guess for one they wanted to let him struggle a bit for sake of stakes.

I also liked Usopp's adjutstment to LA. Toning his lies down a bit was the way to go.

I think I even remember how I initially mentioned to you that Conan as a whole would gradually go downhill. Not just the major cases advancing the plot, the quality of the "weekly" cases as well.

Sanji was fr great. Most of the actors have been killing it. Makes me so hyped for S2 and Baroque Works.

Personally, I didn't like what they did with Garp, even tho you can easily see how he works better for live action. And the toughest dawg in the east died at the hand of Mihawk, that was actually cool. Mihawk's performance in general was fire.

Egghead is an incredibly dense arc. We have so much lore, many major fights and another peak backstory. There's really something for everyone. Only sucks that Kid had to take such a humiliating L to hype up Shanks even more.

The One Piece Live Action truly surpassed all expectations. I didn't expect it to genuinely good to that extent. Not to mention the success it was globally. You love to see it.
