My gamepad is generic and pretty cheap lol XD
If I'll list down all the JRPG's I've played it will take a week XD
But my favorites would be of course, Final Fantasy, Tales, Kingdom Hearts, Wild Arms, Suikoden, Persona, Valkyrie Profile, Mana Khemia, Ar Tonelico, Disgaea, .Hack, Devil May Cry, and so on XD
Yeah they do that's what makes me enjoy them to the fullest :D And its also what makes me love them to the fullest XD
Yeah most western games... are shit, fot me. Aside maybe for Assasin's Creed.
Yes they are very alike especially in gameplay, but each has its own originality :D
The stories are different from each other, The best story would be from Tales of Abyss and Tales of Phantasia for me, but that's just my opinion XD

- Tales of the Abyss (recommended)
- Tales of Legendia (Neat storyline)

But yeah, ToS is much better. You gonna be playing the HD ? Uh sucks, I wanna play it too but I dn't own a PS3.
Phantasia is my first and favorite tales game :) Although yes it is too outdated graphics-wise XD I think you can play them with an emulator (I finished ToS in a gamecube emulator lol). But about Xillia, it will be impossible coz there are no existing PS3 emulators... yet. XD Yeah they do :|

Speaking of slow I noticed you added .Hack//Sign to your plan to watch. It's very, very good and the only .Hack worth paying attention to. There's nothing really quite like it, but be aware that it is a slow, character driven, and dialogue-heavy series. The ending is also a bit unorthodox but satisfying nonetheless imo. It also has my favorite anime soundtrack by far. It's close to being in my favorites.
