Hello ! Sorry for the late reply .

Okay, as promised, here are the replies to both of your previous comments. I'll spoiler them, so feel free to use them as references when you want to.

Comment 1 - Posted at 08-08-14, 8:49 AM:

Thats nice to hear, and that is a great idea. Immersing yourself with the foreign language you want to learn is one of the best methods to quickly develope a habit of understanding it. Good to hear you bought the first volume of Noragami in japanese. You have probably gotten the first volume release from KC USA by now, maybe even the second one.

Comment 2 - Posted at 08-22-14, 8:32 PM:

Great to hear you're making progress. Must be very fun to use anime as reference material for learning. :) With the Summer 2014 season already long gone, we are already approaching the Winter 2015 season. So I doubt the anime titles which I will mention will have the significance they've had back then, but I will still try to do so.

Summer 2014 was a "dry" season overall. The best 12 episode ones include: Barakamon and Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun. The worst 12 episode ones include: Aldnoah.Zero, Bladedance of the Elementalers, Tokyo ESP, Invaders of the Rokujyouma?!, and surprisingly the worst one amongst them (in my opinion at least) was surprisingly Re: Hamatora.

Hey, happy new year! I really have to apologize for not leaving a message a while back, on why I wen't inactive for over four months! It was actually because things got really hectic when my final year of highschool was approaching. I am still currently busy with assignments, but have decided to be active in my comment section again. I eargerly apologize for not leaving any notice.

Anyhow, enough with the excuses. Don't worry about your previous comment. I will reply to it as soon as I can, probably tomorrow. I'll quote every sentence you have written with the approriate reply, since it has been a very long time you posted that comment.

And last but not least, Happy New Year!

Oh yeah, they do get tricky. Though they are easy to memorize. Since you can easily distinguish them with the diagraps. For me it's a bit easier, since in the bulgarian language, there is something called "Sonorous Consonant" and "Silent Consonant".
(Г) G and (К) K for example. Though not the way you pronounce them in english. The G sounds like it does in "Grapes" and the K obviously sounds like "kun" without the "n" sound at the end. So pretty easy to remember that ギ (Gi) is like the sonorous consonant compared to its silent counterpart キ (Ki)

Yeah, even though it's a bad adaptation, seeing some of the action scenes animated can be entertaining at times.

They probably do. I agree that is indeed a great strategy.

Without a doubt, since it was my first and only visual novel for now, Fate/stay night :). The Realta Nua (fully voice acted) version and Beast Lair's port of Mirror-Moon's translation patch.

Hmm that's odd. Although I haven't started learning Hiragana and Katakana yet, I find Katakana to be easier. Probably because I see it in a lot of anime covers and titles, and also because it has more straight lines, compared to Hiragana. I really need to start learning Japanese too! Though I will hold it off until I start university. But it seems you are very determined, I wish you the best of luck! The thing I really hate about Kanji is that the characters can have multiple meanings.

Definitely check out the manga for Tokyo Ghoul. I've caught up with the scanlations, and all I can say is that it's much better. White haired Kaneki is awesome btw ^^! I mainly started reading it because of that, and because the anime adaptation is putting me off >.> The OP and ED are amazing though.

Yeah, I haven't been enjoying Re_Hamatora with a single episode per week. Waiting upon some episode will help with that.

Type-Moon = pure awesomeness. I'm pretty sure they won't introduce new masters or servants. Though we can hope that ufotable or some other animation studio, will adapt the rest of the Fate/ franchise into anime. I really wanna see Saber Nero from F/E animated. Her personality is awesome.

You definitely should, the only negative part about it is that it's very lenghty.

Nice, that's always a big plus regarding your hobby.
So what have you been focusing on primarily? Hiragana, Katakana, Kanji, grammar, vocabulary or maybe all of them evenly?

I've been enjoying Tokyo Ghoul, but it seems that a lot of manga readers keep saying that Pierrot have butchered the source material. So going to have to give the manga a go sometime.

That's always nice. Marathoning Psycho-Pass was a blissful experience for me. Can't imagine watching it weekly. Though that's the feeling you always get from marathoning.

Yeah, DRAMAtical murder did look cool, but I don't enjoy it at all.

Mostly because I'm not a fan of the characters, the setting, the premise nor the animation quality. It's pretty XEBECesque for this one, in particular.

I'm mostly anticipating some Bazett action of F/KLPI zwei. I haven't read the manga, but I'm mostly looking forward to that.

I actually finished my KnK marathon. Oh boy, what a ride it was. It was just gorgeous. Gotta love Type-Moon works getting animated, especially by ufotable and an OST by Kajiura. Definitely need to read the KnK LN, as well.

VNs are awesome indeed, but extremely time consuming =/

Yeah it was. Rin is the main heroine in the Unlimited Blade Works route from the VN. Though don't worry, even though I haven't finished the Fate route yet, Saber will get some awesome scenes in UBW.

Wow, I actually meant ZnT not ZnK...lol
Anyways, how do you feel about the recent Fate/ announcements?
Resident Jul 23, 2014 4:30 AM
ZnK definitely is either anime of the season or a strong runner up. It's just amazing. The OST, characters, animation quality... Pretty much everything.

But one problem I have with good animes, which are in their airing period is that the episodes fly by fast. Contrary to the sluggish effect of bad animes. :P

I actually think Psycho-Pass's rerun is a good way to watch the series. I watched some segments of the first episode and noticed a change in some scenes and the use of different tracks from the OST. I think you will enjoy it a lot. I personally won't watch it though. Not now anyway. I probably will if I decide to rewatch the series.

Going by the "3-episode rule", I already dropped DRAMAtical Murder, due to the female fan service and the horrible animation quality of episode 3. Even regarding those factors, I still can't properly enjoy it.

Shirogane no Ishi: Argevollen is also on stand-by for dropping, in spite of the awesome OP.

I finally managed to catch up with Free! and Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya and I am currently catching up with Space Dandy.

I liked Free! a lot actually. Mainly due to the friendship factor. It is definitely the selling point for me. The OST is also nice and cheering. I think KyoAni did a great job on the animation, as well. I love their colorful approach.

You were right about F/KLPI, it is a good mahou shoujo anime.
It was nice seeing Saber Alter animated. I loved the moments when Illya transformed into Archer using his card too. The comedy was decent.
Looking forward to seeing some Bazett action in 2wei. I hope Silver Link won't rush it.

What a coincidence! I was also looking forward to marathoning KnK! Can't wait to. Need my dose of ufotable, Yuki Kajiura and the Nasuverse.

Got hooked into VNs, as of recently. Currently playing Fate/stay night -Fate route Day 4. Not too far in, going to try and make better use of my time. I want to finish it before ufotable's approach on F/SN, so I can compare them ( if they are comparable ). It's really good though, having a blast playing it.

I'm sorry I couldn't reply to you earlier, but recently I have been very busy due to work experience.

I will try to watch most of the Summer 2014 animes, however I will definitely be skipping through a lot of titles. Mostly because they aren't worth my time and I would rather marathon other better animes, which have finished airing.
For now, I'm mostly stoked about Ao Haru Ride, Akame ga Kill!, Aldnoah.Zero, Tokyo Ghoul, Barakamon, SAO II, Glasslip and a few others.

I still haven't catched up with Free!, Fate/kaleid or Space Dandy.

Hmm, I don't really know If I will watch it to be honest. I will certainly watch season 2 and the movie of Psycho-Pass, but not so sure about this one. I guess I will try to watch the first episode, to see if the new scenes are worth it.

Which titles have caught your interest the most?
Resident Jun 29, 2014 4:54 PM
I'm glad ^^.
Resident Jun 29, 2014 1:13 PM
That's great then. You can jump straight into Steins;Gate now.
They go in order like this :
ChäoS;HEAd--->Steins;Gate--->Robotics;Notes.
Resident Jun 29, 2014 12:29 PM
I would pick Steins;Gate, because it is rated higher than the rest, and for a reason. I haven't watched it myself yet, though.
I have watched Shingeki no Kyojin and Guilty Crown, and I'm pretty sure that Steins;Gate surpasses them.

The reason I haven't watched it myself yet is cause I need to watch ChäoS;HEAd first. I know ChäoS;HEAd, Steins;Gate, Robotics;Notes all share the same setting. So if i watch them, I have to watch them chronologically, only because I'm OCD.
Resident Jun 29, 2014 12:00 PM
I know right ? lol.
Resident Jun 29, 2014 10:35 AM
Yeah, it was directed by Shinchiro Watanabe, the person that created Cowboy Bepop, and is directing Zankyou no Terror :P
I'll give Space Dandy a chance myself, though. Not that stoked about it tbh.

Sidonia no Kishi's all around CGI animation takes a little bit getting used to, I admit. But once you get used to it, you start to see how good it is.

The first episode of Blade & Soul had some potential, hence why I didn't drop it. Though the dull characters, meaningless plot and horrible animation quality made me cringe.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
