Nvm all the fanboys and the self-proclaimed professors in Anime. Your review was poorly written and unfair. Then again, while the Godfather is a masterpiece to some, it's boring to others. And no, not comparing.

I found episode 6 or so, of the first season, lame - when he transformed into a giant. I thought "Yep, it's gonna get dumb as hell from here", but it didn't and I was pleasantly surprised. Now, I've read the manga and I've grown to cherish the story as one of my favourites regardless of medium.

I'm guessing you haven't paid much attention, you may have felt certain parts to have been dragged out and you don't see how everything ties together. But it does, and regardless of how small the world gets there will always be those at the top and those at the bottom, greed and conspiracies.
Also, civilians tend not to interfere with police
