I checked out all 3 of your recommendations, and I hated them LOL dropped all 3 within episode 1.

I tried to be as specific as I could in the description for what I wanted, but now I know to be even more descriptive. In my original post I made it clear I wanted something from my plan to watch list, the admin removed it and said I could only "suggust" you pick something on my PTW.

The reason is, I tend to enjoy anime that are more popular. And I'm far less likely to drop something that's more popular.

Also, I hate anime with Female Main Characters, and I think all 3 of your recs had a female MC. I will make sure I add that tidbit on secret santa next year. I also mentioned I don't want avant garde and one of your recs was def avant garde, it may of not had the tag for it, but it had "if you like this anime you'll enjoy.." section of the anime literally lists FLCL as a similar anime, which is peak avant garde.

I will say the one about birdy I didn't hate that much it just wasn't for me. I'm not a girl so I can't relate to anime about girls. The only exceptions being Feels anime with great animation (violet evergarden, a silent voice, made in abyss)

With all that being said, I don't want you to feel bad about this, so I am MORE than willing to accept more recommendations from you and I'll try them out, this time, the only filter being,
1. They have to be top 500 popularity.
(that's literally it, I don't care if it's avant garde, magical girls, whatever, if it's top 500 I will finish it)

I own an anime server on discord and I'm obligated to complete the anime which the most people have seen. So that's why I'm focusing on popularity over rating.

Anyways that's it, I hope you got some good recs!
