Hii , my name's Alicia :) I'm student in south Florida,
Have been into anime since early childhood, tried to get over it in middle school since it wasn't very popular but as u can see that didn't last ;p
I'm a painter (anime and realistic alike) and semi-writer, play piano, dabble in poetry from time to time, and Plan to make my own novel one day then turn it into an anime (childish dreams yea i no)
One day hope to use art to create something universal, travel the world, and study every culture.
Not gonna lie waiting for Nerve Gear to be invented ^.^

Although I do enjoy traveling, I don't think my budget will cut it. I'm guessing that $5 was spent on gas? If I could go anywhere huh hmmm Sounds too good to be true I suppose. But, if I had to give an answer I guess my first choice would be Japan (for obvious reasons). Though, I wouldn't be able to understand much despite all the anime I've watched :L
I see, a friend of mines told me about what happens in the final light novel just today and he quite liked it, I want a different ending too, because it is nice to see what other scenarios that are possible. And what games?
That's cool, that's what I plan to do with Lolita in the Manga by the way(changing her hairstyle every now and then), and I am already doing so in my artworks for her, it is fun but it can cause her to look fairly different between each picture of hers. You could draw her standing in front of a mirror while doing so, but drawing her reflection on the mirror can make doing that so hard
So you are coming back to drawing/painting after that much years? That's quite nice :)
I think if all of the girls were there at once they'd just end up fighting over him harem-style. Besides, not all of them are friends at this point... are they? I'm not entirely sure, there were a few things going on unseen weren't there.
Ah, I see what you mean about the flopping, I could see it happening too.
Yeah, Ayase isn't a true one... really. Though she does get yandere eyes sometimes. That's true about Manami, I suppose you could say she is, it's an odd thing to think about when you've never actually seen her like that in the anime. Perhaps it'll be an easier decision once the episodes are out.
Actually, your "why don't they all hang out together" question really reminds me of Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai in that whenever a girl arranges a date with him he invites everyone along and harem humour prevails.
I noticed you said you were watching "... of season 1". Perhaps there was a slight misunderstanding, although it pains me to say it, there is currently only one season of Hyouka ;A; I'm hoping for a second season of course, but the anime adapted around 80% of the novels. I'm not sure they can drag out the rest of it into 22 episodes like they did, but, if they do adapt the rest it might just be 12 episodes or something. Either way, more Hyouka is still urged! It's definitely one of the anime on my list that I hope to get a second season. xD
The way you're describing the ending is causing me great distress! I was really hoping for a spectacular ending considering all the events that took place. At this rate, I might actually have to look up the ending and spoil it for myself >.< Might I inquire where you found the ending though? (I'm guessing baka-tsuki?)
Seems like you have quite a few choices of traveling. I on the other hand am stuck here in New York :/ Have fun traveling, it's always nice to go out and explore uncharted areas and experience new adventures C:
That is some deep insight you have there about Hyouka! I won't spoil anything but you are pretty much on track on how the relationship between Oreki and Chitanda are.
I'm curious as to what you mean by the Oreimo ending; do you mean the ending of the light novel? (No spoilers please I haven't read it as I'm planning on seeing how the anime adapts it) By the way you worded your sentence I'm guessing it must've been pretty upsetting for the fans ;A;
And where might you be going this fine summer?
I think you have a point, though they could have easily countered that by making one of the girls more significant to the plot - as another main character - and giving her a fair bit of screen time. Kuroneko could've been that character if they'd wanted to as she was quite a big part for quite a while, whereas Ayase played a small - but awesome - part until this season and even now Kirino still gets more time.
Manami... I'm not really sure as I haven't read the novel yet. I wouldn't say so, though I can certainly see where you're coming from. She's definitely a schemer type character which is actually a lot more interesting than her previous character which was pretty much: I'm happy all the time and I'm an old soul.
Well, a lot of people would be put of by rumours of the True End and never start watching it, those who did start are likely to finish because it's only a few more episodes left. There are people who will want to view the show because of the incest plot (some people like it I suppose, there's someone in particular on the Oreimo forums).
I'm not sure, a lot of people are upset about the True End but still liked the series, they might want closure and the End they wanted could be reached on the game. Disappointed fans could be drawn to it in an effort to see the End they wanted to see.
Do you think Manami is a Yandere?
I can see your point there actually, the other girls, whether they're better or worse, have always been treated as more of a supporting cast, rather than key love interests, whereas Kirino was in just about every episode.
I know, right? When I realised I thought it was pretty funny.
I think that with the True Ending spoiled through the novels the people who watch it (having already spoiled it) will be a little more okay with it; a little time might make it easier to watch and all. I they kind of needed to release it this way, so that the author would make money off his novel and all, there wasn't really a way around it. They also needed to be hasty releasing the anime because interest would drop with the True End exposed and a lot of people would bother starting it at all. It's probably just to maximise ratings and profit, for which we can't really fault them for, they are businesses after all.
It is a shame, as a fellow Ayase fan I can certainly feel your pain.
That Hyouka moment, I have to admit, was pretty cute :> As you progress on with the anime you are going to see just how powerful Chitanda and her eyes really are against the sloth Oreki >:x I completely agree with you on the fact that they are such a cute pairing! Later on the show strongly hints the two and I'm just sitting there waiting for the two to get together. Like I said previously, it's nice to know someone else enjoying Hyouka. I hold it in high regards mostly because I was skeptical at first when I decided to watch it as I had never try a mystery themed anime before but, like my sister, I was immediately hooked. I'm glad that my boredom in searching for new anime has brought me to such a wonderful anime and subsequently our little conversation right here C:
I would've liked that style of storytelling as well, it would've probably granted quite a bit of closure for all fan-factions involved. You seem to have been pretty heavily invested in Oreimo, do you think they released things badly? With the final novel being released as the anime is focusing on other girls, I mean. The fans who have avoided the spoilers are likely to think that the other girls could still happen. It's kind of like dramatic irony.
I'm glad you are enjoying Hyouka! I recommended it to my sister and she was hesitant at first but when she finished the first few episodes she got completely hooked on it >.< Don't worry, as the series progresses it gets better and better
:> My favorite moments are always when Chitanda forcefully drags Oreki into her curiosity and causes him to spend excess energy (I also love his motto: If I don't have to do it I won't, if I have to do it I'll do it quickly) I'm also happy that you feel that this anime is gonna help you progress with your writing skills. For me, Hyouka opened up new perspectives for me on how to view the world and has gotten me interested in looking into more mystery themed animes.
Seems like we are going to be getting along with each other just fine :]
I realised when I watched the video that the True End is the only End that couldn't have been covered in the novels as they weren't blood related. Do you think that was on purpose? That he created an ending that no one had see before, rather than one that people who had played the VNs had seen?
I like the idea that that's one of the reasons he chose the ending anyway, I find it a little more forgivable.
