Ahh yeah... I know what you mean about 'simplicity'. I mean, my subscription to Funimation is more "wishful thinking" than anything at this point, but in principle or concept it isn't something I'd shy away from if it actually delivered a service that saved me time, energy, and motivation (rather than the reality: the polar-opposite...). Between a website that half the time won't let me login, loads of series' lists that bug-out a lot or outright don't deliver what they say they will (especially Dubbed listings/shows ;-;), and then Funimation's fricking 'Mantra' to communicate as little as possible whilst convoluting service/platform goals as much as possible, at this point I'm only giving them money so I can vaguely feel "morally ambiguous" about all my anime-torrenting. (So righteous, amright?).

Well, good on you for making a decision on the matter! I hope your new system serves you well & doesn't piss-fart you around too much. In the future we might get some quality services that can replace these hackneyed workarounds (cos let's face it: 'torrents' isn't a community you can really share with anyone, so it zaps a lot of fun out of "what-could-be" with something like Funimation), but for now there's no point holding our breaths. :<

The site's a little annoying with the ads n stuff (... for instance: after you search for the anime torrent you want, you gotta keep your damn cursor over the Refresh/Cancel function to stop it from forwarding onto stupid, spammy ads...), but since I'm from Australia, most torrent stuff is banned and I ceebs getting into VPNs/etc whilst I've still got options.

You said you're not big on torrents (cos "reasons", ye?), but if you don't mind the ethical crap, even with my slow-ass AU speeds, I still finish 1080p 1gb torrents in under an hour or mostly just 30-35mins. Most other 1080p shows are around 300-500mb, and they finish d/l'ing in 10-15mins. I have a Funimation subscription, but same as you they really peeve me with their inconsistent service--and, I mean, some shows outright aren't licensed or hosted by them too, so it gets dumb when you try to do everything "by the book". :/ (Lel, being a 'decent citizen' can be hard in the dumbest of ways, sometimes...).

Welp, hope your internet situation isn't somehow worse than mine/ours-in-AU. If it is and it genuinely takes you a day to download 1gb files, well... tbh, not sure how you're streaming then? And honestly, most torrents/shows have lower-sized alternatives that often retain most of the quality, so I'm sure there's something here for you!~ (lol, am I selling something now? whateven)
