I see you have that running Anime in your faves, Im thinking of watching it, but is it actually good? does the running aspect make it boring compared to other sports anime?

I'll probably check it out after I get finished watching some more anime for these anime challenges, because it still looks interesting to me. dr stone was so disappointing in that aspect :( although i did expect it to be kinda basic, it really couldn't make ANY of the characters interesting to me. i'd say i only cared about gen even slightly, and even then it wasn't enough for me to stay invested in the anime. you're right-- every character felt like a stereotype brought to serve specific plot service. the female representation was TERRIBLE :( im so tired of seeing exactly what you said; female characters created entirely to serve the male gaze. i had no idea about the animator though! that adds up.
made in abyss really did disturb me at points. the world building was gorgeous; i was so invested in the abyss and all the different levels, but the obvious k1nks that the writer brought into the show and then used with children(!) as his main characters was... so not okay.
