It's been awhile since I watched it but if I remember right, the new version covers the same arcs but the animation are enhanced (though there is some differences they take for those same arcs so it's more fresh). But the new anime has some new arcs too, but I feel like they aren't as good as the OG.

In a nutshell, I think the OG is more about its atmosphere, characters, and the messages it tells in each arc while the new one is more about the adventures and action(?).

oooh I see you are watching Kino no Tabi, love that one. Kinda wish they would just give a second season already though. ;-;

Yeah that's happened to me a couple times with movies, especially Detective Conan. I'll get half way through one of the movies and put it on hold and forget all about it. xD

I've been wanting to watch the movies since like 2021 but I would rather not watch 4/6 and have to wait for the rest. Do any of them end on cliffhangers or is it fine to watch them in parts as standalones? By the way, who's your favorite character from the anime? Mines Anchovy and Yukari.

I had the same issue but I solved that problem by using either MangaDex or MangaUpdates; they usually will have up to date info on mangas, especially MangaDex since it's community driven.

True, there's some mangas/novels I have recently reread and they weren't as good so I had to remove them from my favorites, it's a shame too because I feel like I enjoyed reading more when I was younger. Or I guess I just got more critical about my scoring hmmm..


Yeah, I always get a melancholy feeling when watching the last episodes of an anime, you explained it perfectly. I think right now the anime I don't want to finish the most is the movie Kiniro Mosaic: Thank You!!, the anime was such a trip even if felt like your average CGDCT. Ayaya forever!

When I'm not being lazy. The thing is with my list is that I have a lot of anime I have almost finished but just chose not to, so if I tried I could probably finish like 30 animes in a week if I really wanted to. Plus, I might just move them to "on hold" and "Plan to watch" since a lot of them I haven't even started yet!

I try to do that too but at one point my watching list just got filled with things I was interested in watching but wasn't in the mood to start yet oops. I'll probably go throw my whole watching list in my On-Hold list sooner or later.


Will do. Nice, I don't really care about quality unless I'm clipping a moment from a anime so I usually just try to find a pirating website to watch it from, plus I like seeing what people say each episode.

Haha yeah, but I've pretty much lost any interest in watching anime and would rather just read the source material if I can lol (unless it's an anime original).. My watch list at this point is just another Plan to Watch but it takes higher priority. xD

True, it's a shame that the Tokyo Ghoul adaption after season 1 sucked.. but it's always nice to find animes that actually enhance the experience even further than the source material (examples being Seto no Hanayome and Kotoura-san). But I swear it's somewhat harder nowadays to find that same feel as back then to be honest, not that the newer animes don't have their own charm.

Yep, it's quite sad really that no one talks about them much, especially Negima. Nostalgia may be clouding some of my favorites but I haven't seen other animes/manga do those ideas quite as well as them. :/

But I see you have Binbougami ga! in your Last Manga Updates, definitely recommend that one, it's quite funny with both the anime/manga.
