I do see your point. Togami and Maou didn't at all cross my mind when it came to voice actors. But I don't think that the distinguishable voice acting was at any fault of the voice actors themselves, but the audiences. I'm not making any jabs at you or anyone else that feels the same as you, but I must admit that you are being a little picky. For someone like you that only has 14 anime watched (maybe more), I can understand where you're coming from. "Come on! This voice actor again? Didn't I just hear him in, like, Devil is a Part Timer?" But once you watch tens of hundreds of more anime, that problem seems to shake off. In that regard, it doesn't impact my watching experience. But I can completely understand why it would hamper other's watching experience.

And going back on the 'not enough lines' bit you said about mid point. This is a huge problem with the anime that made it get such an awful reputation, especially if you were a fan of the games. The anime didn't create enough time for anything important to happen. Maizono only got , like, 40 lines because everything in the anime was heavily rushed. I mean come on! 4 deaths in 4 episodes? Slow down there, Danganronpa. What would take a good 2 and a half hours in the game only takes the anime about 30 minutes to establish. It's awful. If you were to play the game, you would actually learn more about the characters, get attached to them. Not just have them be walking dolls that are killed every episode. But I do think there would be a lot more conversation if the anime had more episodes.

P.S. I'm having fun in this conversation. So if I could continue it, let me ask another question: Was the reason why you gave DR an 8/10 was solely based on the voice actors?

I just read your Danganronpa review and I must say; I was left satisfied. It's great hearing other's opinions on anime, especially if my opinion is the complete opposite. I have a hard time understanding what you meant by how the voice actors didn't know how to play their role. It seems like the only problem you had with them is that they kept reminding you of other characters. If you could please elaborate, that would be much appreciated.

After playing the game, the anime was ruined for me, and it's hard to overlook it's flaws after playing the VN. And it's sad too, because the anime could have been amazing, if only it had more episodes or longer episodes (like you said).

Anyway, enjoyed the review! Keep up the work!

Can I just say I really love your Danganronpa review? It's exactly what I thought about the series; having watched the anime, then played the VN, then watched the anime again. ^^
