Anime List Manga List

Hi! My name is Angie. I've been a fan of anime/manga/gaming for over 12+ years. Like so many, I grew up watching Pokemon and Sailor Moon and thanks to these awesome series it opened a whole new world for me and I've never regretted or felt ashamed to admit that I love anime even to this day!

Although my tastes have changed over the years some of my all time favourtie anime series are: Sailor Moon, InuYasha, Ranma½, Cowboy Bebop, Natsume Yuujinchou, Darker than BLACK.. I've also fallen in love with sports anime- some of my top favourites include: Kuroko no Basket (what started it all!), Free!, Haikyuu!!, Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru, Yuri!!! On ICE, SK∞ and Bakuten!!

Plus, I watched the Netflix reboot series of Voltron: Lgendary Defender and have fallen in love (minus Seasons 7-8) with the characters dynamics and the wonderful mix of action, comedy and angst.

When it comes to reading manga; I tend to read more Shounen and BL (Boys Love). I'm not a fan of Shoujo, but I do enjoy some series. Some of my favourite manga/novel titles are: FAKE (my first ever BL), Kuroko no Basket (my first sports series), Vassalord, Yokozawa Takafumi no Baai, Beastars, Uraboku, Tsurugi to Kiri, Yondaime Ooyamato Tatsuyuki, and Doushitemo Furetakunai ~

I like what I like: I enjoy reading romance between two men. I enjoy reading fantasy and science fiction. I enjoy reading fanfiction. I enjoy reading manga. I enjoy seeing fanart and doujinshi that takes inspiration from animanga. I enjoy watching anime for the characters dynamics and to watch them grow and develop. I enjoy watching sports anime for the thrill of seeing teammates fight along side each other in order to surpass their rivals and beat them against the odds. I enjoy many things that are considered fanon within a fandom. Does this make me a bad fan? No. I'm just open to more creativity. I like what I like, you like what you like. Please don't go pasting a label on my choices and preferences. I'm just a fan who enjoys anime & manga to its fullest.

With that said, I bet you are ready for the holidays.

As for manga, I'm slowly catching up with Silent Möbius QD as I improve my Japanese vocabulary.

A semitomboy with an Asian husband that I once met told me that her Japanese was very fluent. I wish that I could have learned the language years ago like she did. She also loves Cowboy Bebop IIRC and I think that she had a birthday last month.

By the way, my 37 year-old tomboyish loves Darker Than Black also. Her least favorite anime is everything battle shounen.

Haha, so it seems I was in somewhat of a grumpy mood when I wrote that last comment. Now that I'm reading it back to myself it was sort of douchey, sorry about that. Though my opinion on the matter still stands. I dislike people who only watch a show for yaoi/yuri, especially if it's a series with really good characters and an interesting plot. I guess it's the fact that I've run into a lot of fangirls who only watch series for the yaoi. I actually had a girl in my college call a show I liked shit and say it's only good for yaoi. Regarding your profile it's the Aomine thing that got me. Aomine is a really badass character and is my favorite Kuroko character. Seeing yaoi of him makes him not badass at all. The day I see Akashi in some dumb yaoi shit, that will tick me off so hard LOL. He's suuuuuccch a damn badass. Anyways. this is just how I feel.

Well yeah... I watch a show for it's actual plot and characters. I could give a rats ass about two males that don't even actually like eachother kissing in some fanart.
