it was at the point after the dad tests them with killing them and then they go into that one big building i just thought there was a clear shift away from the dynamics in the first half. obv bcuz light gives up the death note at that time it was like i was waiting for that introspection to return and the more it went on the more i was like welp bed time. now we go on hiatus since kingdom ended i cry ;-:

Oh, really? I could see why. It wasn't bad or anything, just not necessarily what I signed up for. I enjoy logic. For example, when L and Light are right next to each other, having an inner monologue about what each other could possibly be thinking, it is fascinating. But when the girl comes on, it kind of threw a wrench in the back-and-forth dynamic. Ultimately when it was dragging hard IMO. maybe it heats back up later but i couldn't last.

parasyte could've easily been a 10 for me... maybe even top 10... migi is logic personified and this clashed well with the mc. this relationship was great especially when its effects are demonstrated through relationships on both sides. although personally, I found the harem arc to be a waste in the bigger picture. (at one point i told my friend this introspective ambience track got played like i swear 7 times in a row in one episode during this period.) and the ending, while sufficient, felt lackluster, like on top of that it transitions from the super parastyte dude who i thought was ok at best. if they wanted to go in that direction with a central parasyte as an ending i would've like to see more development something akin to mereum in hxh. that super parasyte dude, yes, was seen here and there prior but i mean it wasn't anything substantial so for him to be taking up precious ending screen time was like meh. I mean, regardless, it was good, tho and my takes could be hot, but it's just what I felt.

crybaby was interesting for an ep, but it's just so bad, in my opinion, because of its transitions and every other sentence. I'm like, ok, is that realistic within the parameters of this world? for example Then the transitions reminded me of a school project where they just limited testing their artistic capabilities and didn't care for the story because that wouldn't get them hired. for example i didnt mind its risque imagery because I'm open to everything as long as it has just cause but yeah i don't know it was rough for me haha.

omg i forgot i never told you i finished that one a while ago. i think it was the best of the ones i watched recently. i could only watch up to about half of death note, parasyte was pretty good overall but i had a few big problems with it, and i didn't really like crybaby

Personally I’m inclined to prefer it as such. Think of all the drug… I mean anime that will be out by then. I’ve been trying to snipe a few off your list I hit death note, parasyte and crybaby. I might try to get one more done next month
