Arbitrary is right, people are wired different, you can't sit two different people down to watch the same show and expect them to have the same reaction to said show. You can nitpick a show down to its finer details/metrics (script, animation, music, etc.) but you can't expect everyone to view the same thing from the exact same perspective. I use a number system for the sake of logging my entries and for recommendation purposes, but not to state some objective truth. It's like people can't handle other people's opinions on anime on a site made for...sharing different opinions on anime?
If Black Clover were done by ufotable it would probably have a similar reception to Demon Slayer, jussayin. Regardless, it's a competent battle shonen, nothing amazing but it has some fun moments. Off the record, I actually like it more than My Hero Academia as of its current arc (maybe that's just the Stockholm syndrome since I've stuck with it for so long). I don't particularly get hateful comments or messages for my Black Clover review, I think I'm fairly liked among the Black Clover fanbase because deep down they know how flawed the series is. I did get one that rubbed me the wrong way though, something along the lines of "You gave Black Clover a 10 but your mean score is a 5.65? Can you not be a hardass if you're going to give a shitty show like Black Clover a 10?" I'd rather get hate comments from knuckle-dragging fanboys than elitists, elitists who put too much stock into how people rate fucking cartoons are the worst
Hah, thanks brother, appreciate it. My Black Clover review is a bit dated in the grander scheme of things but I'll just roll with the punches since people seem to like it 0.o
Woah I forgot profiles had comment sections and I FORGOT TO LOOK lol.
As for FMA. I’ve been watching it off and on.(I actually probably started it around the time you posted this comment Heheh) I do love it, and it’s one of those that’s so popular that I know it already, like how it ends, what happens etc.(which hasn’t lessened the enjoyment of it for sure) I’m on like episode 40 and I put off watching the rest. I REALLY do need to finish it.
I pretty much explained why I thought it deserved a 10 in the review xD
I pointed out the flaws because there are flaws. Still it was the best experience I've gotten from an anime. If fillers bother you a lot , watch FMA B , it's really similar , fewer flaws. But doesn't do as much as Naruto does but then again it only had 64 episodes. And all of those 64 episodes were really good. Unlike Naruto where it took 70 episodes to get the series going.
Well 10 doesn't say it's perfect. On MAL rating it says "10 - Masterpiece".
Even if it does have alot of flaws , it had the best characters and soundtrack I've ever witnessed. You can't really expect a 500 episode series to have highest level of quality animation consistently when it's a weekly series. It's a series that had everything I wanted an anime.
I treat fillers are extra OVA's. I do watch em when um bored. Since it finished airing I don't see why people would be bothered by fillers. It's not like the fillers damage the original story. I take them as side stories.
