ye I get that, I havent watched anything the past month used to watch this shit daily
I still log in on mal like a routine kind of but I have nothing to update.....
lol, like honestly gotta be one of the dumbest things I've heard from someone, like there is no such thing as #1 reviewer cause opinions are subjective. Common Sense
My point wasn't only about your review on the movie btw, it can apply to everything else.
You are basically comparing every other genre to shonen and for that fact you basically gave every other genre low scores:
5 to the CSM adaptation which obviously can't come from the animation because is godlike, so that one is a seinen example because CSM is closer to seinen that shonen.
Then we take as example Re:Zero which you dropped and gave it a 1, everyone shits on isekai because well is a deep fried formula that every season gets even uglier and thats a fact, that doesn't mean there aren't good stories as Re:Zero is, in reality there are literally 2 shows in the isekai genre worth watching one is Re:Zero and the other is mushoku, and ive read the fucking LN i usually didn't read any books unless I was really motivated to do so and to my surprise it was really well done and that shit was good and entertaining which i never thought to find on a book so this score is just insulting yourself pretty much. The other isekai are literally power fantasy trash that can be described as guilty pleasures i know they are shit i admit it, and some of them have good world building but is the same refried formula so i cant defend any further.
Then we move on to rom-com genre, kaguya sama dropped, no surprise, i get someone could not like japanese comedy, but actually the best rom-com in anime a 2, that doesn't speak good of your taste.
Then the classic. im edgy so i dont like modern popular shonen anime like AOT, like JJK, edge runners a 7?, and JoJo part 1 a 7 and part 5 a 5?, JoJo part 1 is probably the worst JoJo in every aspect, and it wasnt bad is just that the rest is way better at everything.
The first anime i watched when i was very little was DB even tho i dont remember anything, then Naruto when i was on highschool and then OP, and yeah it was good while it was the only thing i acknowledged as good but consuming a lot of other media and specially anime showed me that there are franchises above in character writting, animation and direction. So you learn to look at things for what they trully are in the global panorama of genres and aproaches to various themes.
So you can be all nostalgic you want but don't go comparing between genres because the only thing i see from your taste is that if there are protagonists that go ungabuga on antagonists for a midly developed reason is good for you
and if not is trash and thats it.
You are the literal perfect example of a DB brainrotten fan. Thats the reason of my 1st comment. And thats the reason i will never watch DB.
The fact that you gave db a 10 and rates from 1-5's to other objectively better shows literally gives your re¡view 0 validity. so why would i bother reading some dogshit wrote by a literal blind toddler? Ill find out and regret life choices later.
OP films are fanservice. people that consume them know this and this movie uses a different aproach from the classic formula that other films before had, but still it doesn´t need to make any sense because most of the things in OP movies are NOT CANNON as you say at the beginning and usually portray characters that have been active lately on the anime cast at the time the script is written but IT CANNOT POSSIBLY FIT ON ANY TIMELINE.
Uta character development was done throughout the anime and the movie wasn't obviously the best but wasn't expected to turn out like that in any one piece media which is welcoming because is something you pretty much wouldn't predict, specially the end which you mention that "ruins the movie", the movie is about UTA so makes sense it doesn't go on(if i get correctly what you meant).
I'm not a fan of musicals in fact i hate them but they based part of the movie approach on her power and the songs were good and i dislike CGI some of it wasnt done good but some of it was done right. wacky faces are done to portray that she's literally going crazy so i have no problem with that at all.
Shanks promise blah blah blah, why the fuck would you develop a character as important as shanks on a movie of all things and before doing it on the manga. Your argument falls apart and makes no sense, the only character that will have development in the movie is Uta as the movie is about her.
Ill admit pacing is a weak point on the OP anime and this movie has some wacky pacing but from the beginning tries to build up some momentum towards the final battle and the end of the movie that has this thing happen that is very rare on OP and feels dramatic just for that fact and also the close it hits luffy (a db fan wouldn't get it because goku is stronger i guess).
Also calling cliche things when you rate db a 10 that is literally the mother of all shonen cliches, ffs. Just say you cannot stand disney movies so do I.
And before writting any more meaningless reviews you should actually consume media to develop your taste and emotional inteligence because you clearly cannot callout any writter on being a 5 year old as this is your actual mental age.
What bored you bro I wanna hear, really. Also I didnt mean beastars is bad but I dont thinks its way better than Aot. One more thing, why do you rate everything this low man 😂
Although One Piece is an okay series, I agree with it. The thing is: OP fanbase is blind and treat it as the best thing humanity did.
Movie was fine by me, but the story was indeed completely out of place, begging for recognition throwing randomic characters to the screen to please its devoted blind fans. Good work.
I think your review of the recent One Piece movie is full of claims that are sloppy, superficial, inaccurate and lacking analysis. It does reflect how haters feel, which is why most of them will praise your writing, but...if there's someone who should use words more carefully, then that should be yourself. To be honest, I know that MAL isn't a very serious place, so there's little harm done in the grand scheme of things from a bad review in light of the great success of the movie, but reading it still makes me shake my head at almost every paragraph.
The pacing is quite intentional and, if anything, maybe suffers a little from slowness rather than from going too fast. There's nothing inherently wrong with characters having cameo appearances. It's a completely valid technique in a work of fiction. Even so, we still get a brief explanation for most of them, or it's made very evident due to their position or role (as authority figures, for instance).
Therefore, your claim that the characters are somehow disconnected from the events is unreasonable. Not everyone is equally important to the story, naturally, but there's a clear three act structure and the various groups of characters fulfill different purposes within it.
I am sorry to say that you apparently didn't really understand much about the story either, neither in terms of characterization nor in terms of themes (I can imagine what plot twist you're talking about and...no, it doesn't "ruin" anything, at least if you put the entire situation in context with all of the factors, instead of only reacting in the moment). It's a pity. I can respect that not all movies are made for everyone, so you're certainly not forced to enjoy the movie, but...when your criticisms are so shallow, incomplete and debatable, I am disappointed.
Don't listen to these One Piece heretics. I enjoy One Piece quite a lot, but your Film Red review couldn't be more accurate. The Movie felt as though it had no coherent story or plot. Characters with no relevance to the "plot" were just there without explanation. And for a movie that should be focusing on Shanks, he gets very little development.
I appreciate your honest review of the movie, it is a breath of fresh air next to all the One Piece die-hards who rate the film highly because of the popular cast of characters.

Your review: dogshit/10
