Why Saekano? because it has a waifu among so many episodes. Or should I say a female character. The girl who becomes a female character instead of just a waifu is either Utaha or Megumi depending on your taste in female characters. Utaha is witty, mischievous and she has that touch of intelligent and mature beauty. The other? I'm going to let you experience it for yourself.
Let's go fast? Saekano is a romantic comedy that has two seasons and a movie (It has an OVA that serves as the first episode and I think it has two other OVAs that are just fun and fanservice). The first season is bad, it's that simple, it's torture at times. The second season is much better written and more complex, it wastes no time and begins to rise to a status of being decent and the movie is a good end to the whole story, Saekano becomes competent.
Saekano knows what it is and sells itself as such, one could say that the series is self-aware... something that is rare to find in this world called anime. I am sure that the comedy will be pleasant for you at times and that you will take a waifu with you, who has a chance of being a respectable and delicate female character. Maybe not TOP10WAIFUS but they won't leave you indifferent. I know why I'm telling you this. After all, both of us like Senjougahara and Mio. Short story? Megumi is like Mio and Utaha is like Gahara ara ara.
The series has things similar to Oregairu and Monogatari series, but the protagonist is only for stupid comedy and the waifus, the waifus are everything. One watches Saekano only for the waifus and then you take Megumi or Utaha... or why not both at the same time? ehhhhh? Could be, why not?.
I know you saw Ergo Proxy because I recommended it to you, well go again and see what's good. I know what I'm talking about and Ergo Proxy is a clear sign that you are looking for something different. I know very well that you will like them.
I started watching Vinland saga because of you, I already had it in my mind but I guess seeing it in another INTP's favorites list was what finally convinced me. I see Reality on your waifus list, who? Re-l. Good taste in female characters Alex. You do not disappoint.
I appreciate Yui's chaos, she is a more than necessary character to start the scenes and thanks to her nature she is always getting into trouble or simply she creates something out of nothing. Yui is the one who starts practically everything in the show thanks to her hyperactive attitude and her childish curiosity. Azunyan is my second favorite for many reasons, but I genuinely don't care about the other two.
What I want you to answer, if you wish, is why do you like Mio? I have an answer that is more linked to the author's psychology but I also get to the point of "her character design is much more kawaiiii Mio a Cute!1!!!"
"Mio is just happens to be my favourite" - Words of a wise man by Alex (2004-2024)
K-on is an anime that belongs to a certain style that has a Japanese name. Something that "heals your soul", I really like whatever they're doing and it's partly because they're not doing anything. I have my suspicions that the author of the manga is INTP. Digibro said several times that he didn't like the manga and didn't even bother to read much of it. Let's admit that the best part is Mio and it's the Mio Show and for some reason they play instruments. I don't even remember the names of half of the characters.
Mononoke (Similar to Monogatari Series. It's like a dream that turns into a nightmare, Directed by an INTP)
Tenshi no Tamago
Mawaru Penguindrum (this one is a 5 or a 9, Pure style)
Kikumana (5 minutes)
Shoujo Kakumei Utena (Romanticism, poetic, I'm sure you'll like Utena)
Gabriel DropOut (A cute silly comedy about angels and demons. The author is an INTP)
Texhnolyze (Do you want something about existentialism? something poetically cruel and real? This is the best option)
Serial Experiments Lain (Existential crisis and much more, conceptually it may be to your liking. It is complex and handles some concepts well. Written and Directed by an INTP)
Harmonie (25 minutes)
Kyousou Giga (TV) (Kill la Kill Vibes, cool fun)
Sankarea (Similar to monogatari in nature, I'm sure the female lead will be to your liking. It is better to see it without knowing much about the story)
and if you want a romance give Kimi ni Todoke a chance. The girl is an INTP.
Since you like Monogatari I would recommend that you read the visual novel called Umineko. But I have no idea if you're willing to read over 100 hours of entertainment. In my opinion it is much better than Monogatari, why do I compare? Simple because the authors are also INTP.
Something else that I think is important. I think I found you via Digibro. I was just looking for intriguing people and it's clear to me that you are an INTP. My definition of intriguing is more than positive.
