Yeah, I understand what you mean, but, after seing 7 ep, I think the protagonist isn't that bad. Often predictable, but bahamut's cool, and I'll tell what what I definately think about it when it'll be finished :)

Great Bakemonogatari review! I'm currently watching through the show for the first time myself, and I must say I agree with more or less all of your observations. I had high expectations as well and was disappointed to find out that Bakemonogatari is a fine show, a good show even, but certainly not a great show and definitely not a masterpiece.
