Met this guy during an AnimeCon which took place in the highest floor of a 15 storey building. I spent the entire day exploring the Con and decided to go for a smoke break on the roof. It was already dark out and the roof was pretty much empty so it was perfect for a smoke session. 10 minutes later, I was about head back when I heard whimpers coming from the corner of the roof. Under normal circumstances, I would've ran down in fear of an unknown figure crying in a dark place. But I was feeling pretty down in life at the time so I approached the sound with nothing to lose. As I got closer, the details became clearer and I saw an adult man crouching down, wearing nothing but his underwear. I was getting second thoughts about getting involved any further, but my curiosity kept me going. I asked him what was going on, and I got a reply in a more tamed manner than I was expecting. He explained that he came to the Con with his crush, Pandora. They got into a good mood and he asked her out, but she ran away without saying anything. Feeling rejected, he went around trying to pick up other girls, but that ended even worse when he encountered a karen, Kaoru, who started beating him up and tore all his clothes off. After that he ran to the roof and that's how he ended up in that state. Honestly I had mixed feelings but I tried comforting him and it worked surprisingly well. He bounced back pretty quickly and invited me to pick up girls together. Haven't talked to him since but he's a pretty chill guy. +rep
