Man it was a long time since I last wrote anything to you... I remember the days when we used to talk a lot together, all 3 of us, me you and John/Werry. Speaking of John, did you have any contact with him since March? Like e-mails or messages from other sites? I have his full name, few addresses, few e-mails and I'm trying to contact him for the last few weeks. Or find a new way to contact him. Do you know what is going on with him? He kinda disappeared which made me worried... For now I'm trying to get in touch with him using the internet, but if that doesn't help I'm thinking about sending a few letters to Bulgaria, maybe with a bit of luck I'll get his family address. That way I could ask even his mother ... Sounds a bit unrealistic huh? :P
Anyway, how are you doing? Anything drastically changed since the last time we talked? :D New home or job? :)
Oh, I don't know how far you are, but you should absolutely watch episodes 15&16. As they say, shit just got real.
When you are back, write me a msg, because I have disabled my comments.
By the way, how are Gekkou and Molester Man going?
Wow, I had a really weird dream recently. I was with my father, visiting some indian family who in my dream had been our friends for quite some time. We were talking and at some point my father left while I remained. Then some sort of ritual was started, that was supposed to last for two days and it took me a while to realize that they were actually getting me married to their daughter. And I was going along with it! But it occured to me ask why we were doing this and it turned out, that my parents had helped them, giving them some things and they had taken that as a sign that my parents wanted to unite our two families. Calmly, I explained that they were just generous people, that their gesture did not hold any special meaning. With some effort, I managed to convince them to talk with my father first today, then see what tomorrow will bring. I left, saying goodbye to my almost-bride. And to be honest, in the dream I wasn't against marrying her --she was a really sweet girl. The only thing that bothered me was that I didn't know if she liked me at all, or was simply honoring her parents' wishes...
XD When I woke up, I was really surprised. Somehow I connected the dream to a conversation I had had with a friend about marriage and stuff like that. Maybe guys really are scared of it. >_>
You might find the first couple of chapters of Molester Man slow, or even tedious because of the amount of text you have to read, especially when they exchange e-mails. But give it time and it will surely hook you. It becomes much more interesting as it progresses, you will see why.
So... I recommended Gekkou to you before, but you didn't even check it out. Now I added it to my favorites and suddenly, you think it's interesting? Heh, actually, I am mad at MAL. I tried to add the novel to the database last year, but they refused me! Read the rules, they said. Something about the novel needing to have a manga relation or something... And now, a couple of months later, someone else adds it and it's no problem! It's discrimination, that's what it is.
It is more than interesting. For me, it is on par with the S&W novels, perhaps even better in some aspects. And quite similar in feel too: focuses on the intereaction between the main characters.
That said, because it was weighting heavily on my mind, HELLO! Happy holidays! Even if considerably belated... It's certainly been a while... What can I say, I am sorry for not writing anything in so long. I took up studying again, for the fourth time in fact, but this time I think I might stick to it. So far I have tried different ... specialities, but none really interested me, so I quit after less than a year (the longest). As I am trying to save time and not study for full five years (seems way too long to me), I am taking two years in one. But because of the annoying laws, I can't shorten my time at the Uni more than by two years. So I have to take 1st and 2nd in the first year, 3rd and 4th in the second and the 5th in the third. But the point is that in order to take the exams for a full years of lectures in just five months, it takes a bit of studying even if you have never had trouble with it. Add to that the fact that I am still living by myself, which means expenses and consequently having a job, and lately I have been zombed out.
So how are you? How are things going? Anything interesting happened during the holidays? Nothing on my part. Still here in Spain, studying. My sister came to visit (really, did I grow as fast when I was her age?) for new year's for a week and it was nice. I also made a short trip to a different city, but other than that I haven't moved from where I am, excluding another changing of appartment. And frankly, I am getting bored...
There is also this other realy good manga, web comic actually, that I recently read, but I won't overload you --for now just read Chikan Otoko. In case you want to check it out, it's called Annarasumanara.
What else... Well, for now I have to go, work's calling, but I am going to be around. Promise. So write me something too. And if you have any good anime or manga for me, don't waste time in telling me.
For some reason you can't see my manga history, but if you could, you'd notice that lately I have been in a yuri mood, having read several such manga. Strawberry Panic (nothing special really, though that may be because it was suspended; the original light novel is at least a couple of volumes, I think), Tokimeki Mononoke Jogakkou (it's a short gag story about a girl that by chance goes to the yokai world, to an all girls school), Sasameki Koto (the manga is definitely better than the anime; I acually enjoyed it a lot, despite all the dragging on) and Haru yo Koi (which is more a love polygon romance manga or something that has yuri, than a yuri centered one). Now I am looking for new material.
Oh, and I read this short (1 volume) manga called "Calling You". It is about a girl that does not own a cell phone and starts imagining one in her head. Then one day, the cell rings and she connects through with another person. Very bittersweet, mind you.
Aquarion Evol gets even more ridiculous as it goes on. And the ending will bring you no satisfaction whatsoever. No, rather it will be negative. If we use Jacub's happiness units measurement system, in which the ending of Kurosawa gives you a 1000 happiness units, then the ending of Evol would be like this: the part of the ending that concerns the rest of the characters, excluding the four mains, would give you about a 120hp (happiness units, not hit points). On the other hand, regarding the main characters, it will actually take away about 800 of your hp. So in the end, you are left with -680hp, which simply said sucks. So I don't know if you shouldn't watch it, you'd want to know how the story goes eventually, but know that you won't like it. I don't even care I am giving you spoilers...
P.S. Make sure yo check out the two novels in my profile, though I know you don't like reading much. They are really good.
You should definitely watch this, it is incredibly cute and funny. I never thought to search before for something similar and in fact, I happened upon it by chance. But I had forgotten how adorable Hana-chan is... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4z4O_NGHlI
Lately I have taken to reading some light novels at night. Who woudda thought that the author for Accel World and SAO was the same? SAO was apaprently started in 2003 as a web novel and was only published in 2008 along with Accel, after the latter won the Bungaku award.
Hahaha, now that I remember, the Hanagai one is hilarious. If you laughed watching the anime, then you will surely laugh reading the novel. Even though there aren't any visuals, for some reason it made me laugh even more. I don't remember ever laughing so much and for so long. Almost 7 volumes that are translated did I read and it still makes me laugh out loud... It is just so ridiculous... XD The whole setup, the characters, all of which are weird, not one is every remotely close to the "normal" parameter. And of course, Kodaka has one of the biggest harems ever. On last count it numbered... Wait, let's count. Sena, Yozora, Yukimura, Rika, Kobato, Maria, Kena... I think that's it. So, seven, eh? The guy sure is lucky. And all of them beautiful... So, I heard there is going to be a second season, right? If it follows the same way, it should cover volumes 3 and 4. Unfortunately, if the third season covers volumes 5 and 6 (if there is one), we won't get to see the fiance until season 4...
