I hope is the good kind of things that are keeping you busy and not the emotionally draining ones.
I know it is a bit late, but since we haven´t spoken since last year, I want to wish you a very belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I hope this year brings you nothing but the best C:
Oh, Bob's Burgers is such an amazing show; the family is so crazy, yet they are always for each other, and I also like each kid's friend group. I swear that after so many seasons of weirdness and ridiculously funny moments, the Christmas episode from season 13 caught me off guard; I almost cried while watching it. Like, I needed to replay it sometimes to be sure it happened. Best episode ever alongside the hunted house. Like, you are right, families aren´t perfect and conflicts may last, but shows try way too hard to only show the bad sides. No wonder there are so many people scared of relationships and settling down. Like it or not, those things have a huge impact, even when we don't realize it.
I cannot understand why it is so hard for others to understand some people don´t want to have kids; they can be a blessing for sure, but it is not an easy task to be a parent. Indeed, some men do love making the baby but not taking care of him or her; in my country, there was a group of men who gathered signatures to try and abolish years of child support payment; I am sure they are also the ones who say having kids is the best, sees their own maybe once a year, and think that taking them to the supermarket counts as going out.
I feel that celebrities marrying and divorcing work for them to keep being relevant; it's like the Met Gala and the weird outfits they use, a girl working on management says their costumes, especially the weirder ones, help them to be Googleable and relevant. I think you have a point, maybe marriage between actors is hard since there is no guarantee they will enjoy the kiss with their coworkers more than they say, and make it last until backstage. Hence, uncertainty grows, and they are unable to trust. Also, you made me remember the marriage between Ellen Degeneres and Portia de Rossi; it was said the latter was forced to relinquish and reject some roles because the former didn´t allow her to act.
I can understand why some people want to protect themselves, and I consider that prenup agreements make sense sometimes, but that is something that needs to be talked about and not thrown into the other person's face out of nowhere. Like, you don´t wait for your partner to wake up and say you want a prenup with all the paper ready to sign.
It´s fun to hang out with family, but at times it can be hard.
No, just arguments; no one yelled, and no one punched anybody hahaha.
During the first weeks of February, we were under a heat wave. It was a nightmare.
I am sorry to hear that; I hope that by the time this message finds you your plants are doing well.
It's a bit scary and stressful, especially since my parents have a house in the countryside. During Christmas, there was a fire nearby since someone didn´t keep their BBQ under control.
I am sorry, I didn´t understand the science behind it hahaha; your explanation regarding the sky colors during bad weather was understandable, but the science behind it killed me hahaha.
Oh no, I am sorry to hear that; have you ever experienced a tornado? I think I mentioned it, and while they aren´t very common where I live it is always depressing to see how devastating they can be. To lose everything you worked so hard for to disappear in an instant has to be every single person's worst nightmare.
I think there was a compensation to restitute some money to the people who lost merchandise. The companies were arguing with each other to find out who was to blame since nobody wanted to pay.
That makes sense, it is easy to make mistakes. It is always better to be sure of everything.
In my country is the same, but most of the time they ask you for the numbers in your ID instead of the ID itself.
I am so glad to hear you had such a great day; there aren´t too many people marrying these days, and hearing you had a nice ceremony where the official ones treated you kindly sounds incredible.
Hahaha, don´t worry, we can always start newer conversations. Plus, I just noticed how long the last one was hahaha. We got very carried away.
Maybe it’s because Undertaker's costume is kind of complicated? Oh, but I guess there are surely much more complicated costumes at meetings like those. Speaking of which, what do you think is the most elaborate costume you’ve ever seen there? =D
Oooh, thank you. I feel like I’m making all kinds of silly mistakes all the time lol
Czech. =) Your first language is English, right?
I guess the doctors are just playing it safe for now, not wanting to share anything that may prove to be incorrect later. But I can imagine that’s pretty frustrating.
Maybe you could try telling someone how much it bothers you so they can explain to your aunt that she's not very helpful. It could help.
That's cool, you can keep enjoying the puzzle even after you finish it. ^^ What types of puzzles do you prefer? I've always been a fan of the ones with animals. ^^
I’m not into celebrating holidays either, so it’s all good. =D I don’t think I have any particular holiday I enjoy. I like how some holidays give you a few days off. xD
Heh, I doubt anyone can really catch up on all the shows, there are just too many out there. And sometimes it’s more fun to rewatch the old ones instead of starting something new.
Sooo, I gave those short anime you recommended a shot... You were right, they weren't really my thing. xD
I also like Assassin's Creed for all the beautiful historical cities you can visit there. Climbing on the rooftops of Santa Maria del Fiore will never get old. xD
In most RPGs, my weapon of choice is a bow or magic, but stealth is great too. There's something satisfying about killing a target after stalking them for several minutes and quietly preparing for their demise. xD
What kind of movies did you watch on New Year's Eve? =3
I spent New Year's Eve watching movies by myself LOL I'm not a fan of the whole New Year's Eve celebration, with all the loud fireworks and stuff. So I spent it rewatching two episodes of Sherlock BBC, which was great. No New Year's Eve vibe whatsoever. :D
I'm really sorry to hear about your health struggles. That sounds like such a long and frustrating journey, but I hope getting more clarity on the Dysautonomia diagnosis will help you find ways to improve things, even if just little by little. Do you know the cause of this problem?
And for your gut health, do you think certain foods or habits make it better or worse? Definitely worth bringing up with a doctor if there’s a chance something could help! Wishing you strength and support as you navigate all of this.
Thank you! Finding balance is definitely a journey, but I'm getting there. And yes, having great people to work with makes such a difference! Remote work just fits me better in so many ways—flexibility, focus, and, honestly, just being comfy at home!
Do you prefer working in an environment where you feel comfortable and fulfilled, or in a more conventional setting that offers a high salary but less personal satisfaction?
And yes, horseback riding totally counts as a sport! My lover would probably scold me if I don't say yes haha. In fact she is a horserider and practices every week. She even went to do competition abroad. That’s amazing that you’ve loved it since you were five. Do you remember your first time riding? Or do you have a favorite memory from being around horses? I imagine being around them must be so calming. Have you ever wanted to have a horse of your own?
As for myself, I'm not good at dealing with horse but when the weather is good, it's enjoyable.
As for me, I enjoy skiing, hiking, and judo! I recently started getting back into skiing after a break, and it's been great. There’s something really refreshing about being out in the mountains. When you ride, do you prefer more relaxed trail rides or something a bit more fast-paced, like jumping or dressage?
Also, you mentioned working remotely—if you could design your ideal work setup, what would it look like? A cozy home office, a laptop by the beach, or maybe working in a quiet café?
And yes, small joys can be so powerful. What’s something that’s brought you joy recently, even if it’s small?
Hope to chat again soon! Take care!
We are already at the end of the month of January and I felt like I was celebrating New year yesterday, times flies so fast !
Your resolutions sound so thoughtful especially focusing on health and finding joy in the little things. how long have you been suffering from your health problems?
I also plan to have a better mindset too, I feel like I was overworking too much for the sake of money but well I don't have to complain that much, just that spending too much time at the office makes me tired, despite having nice colleague.
That's why I prefer to work remote, so I can practice sports to help me.
Do you practice sports?
Agree to the fact it's important to enjoy the smallest things, life is short in a sense.
See you !
My husband and I went out to dinner with my parent and my siblings and their partner.
I just gave birth to our twins not that long ago, so life have been pretty hectic.
I've also been having trouble responding on time lately. Sorry about that! English isn't my first language, so I occasionally struggle to form coherent sentences. :D
Same! I'm often so lazy and tired that I just don’t feel like responding to anyone. But when I finally do, it’s a lot of fun. xD
Oh, I feel you. I hope everything will be alright. 🙏
I'm sorry to hear that. I don't know what's your husband’s aunt is like, so forgive me if I'm totally off base here. But it seems to me that maybe she was actually trying to lift your spirits but just didn’t express it well. Maybe she brought up the lady to show you that your situation isn’t as bad as hers, hoping it would make you feel proud and encourage you to push your limits. Instead, it came off as condescending rather than supportive. It’s possible she felt bad about her words afterward but didn’t know how to fix it. Or she could be a self-centered bitch who didn't realize she was hurting your feelings. Regardless, it was her failure, so you shouldn't feel bad about it. If anything, you can be happy that the other members of your family understood your feelings and felt awkward about her comments.
Im glad you enjoyed the rest of your Thanksgiving. I used to like puzzles too, but lately, I can't help but question the purpose of it all. Like „I did the puzzle, yay… damn, so what, whats the point?“ x)
Now Im rambling too lol. But rambling is fine. x))
I dont think we have a Thanksgiving equivalent. But my family isn’t big on holidays, so… xD
Wow, contragulations! Now you can go back to watching mainstream anime! =D
Oh, what hidden gems have you found? I might enjoy them too.
That’s fine too, action games are great for blowing off steam lol. I think I’m more into stealth when it comes to fighting games. I had so much fun using a hidden blade in Assassin’s Creed. :D
They're very nice games, definitely try them when you have the time. ^^ They're both really emotional, though. Just listening to the music in Ori's trailer makes me want to cry. x))
Btw, Happy New Year! Wishing you nothing but health, wealth, and endless blessings in the New Year ahead~ ( ˘ ³˘)♥
How was your Christmas? And New Years Eve? =)
