Ah, well you're in luck, because the estate of Clark Ashton Smith has actually given the website Eldritch Dark permission to post just about all of his short stories online. You can find them here. So if you're interested just about all of his fiction is available for free. Only problem is that they're in English and Smith's prose is very baroque with a lot of words that might be unfamiliar to you. English is my first language and I still have to scramble for my dictionary sometimes. There are translations of some stories available but nothing in Romanian I'm afraid. And then there's the fact that it's on a computer screen, I know some people can't stand to read fiction that way and I can sympathize with that. Anyways, if you do decide to check him out, my advice is to generally stay away from his science fiction stories. In my opinion they haven't aged very well at all. A lot of his dark fantasy and some of his horror stuff is great, though.
Ah, I assumed you were a fan of the author Clark Ashton Smith, who wrote many fine fantasy, horror, and science fiction stories for Weird Tales magazine along with his contemporaries H.P. Lovecraft and Robert E. Howard. The reason being that your avatar has been used as cover art for a collection of his stories called "The Return of the Sorcerer." If you're at all into fantasy or horror I think you'd probably get a lot of enjoyment out of his work. "The City of the Singing Flame" and "Genius Loci" are two of my favorite stories by him.
yup maybe it has. maybe it made me more down to earth i think..
lol i guess thnx.. :P i am tons realistic, although i like dreaming and especially hoping for stuff to happen(well who doesn't, right?)
so yup, although it's prevailing in my choises in the end, i think my feelings might be a tad stronger than my realism, but hey.. we live in demanding times, no time for much idealism n stuff, right? :)
lol i can't recall anything big at all tbh..
a little flirting here and there was mostly the case, but i wouldn't concider this to be anything more than that. Maybe once.. it felt like sth more, but still i had my senses to know that it can't happen. so it might have hurt just a little but soon i just forgot about it whatsoever. :P
Hi! How have you been? Sorry for my late reply, i was so busy lately and then i got down with the flu. :/
You are so right about what you said. The internet, i think, is a great way to do so many things, but it should be carefully used. And it's easier for us, that as kids we had lived outside it in our earlier age. For me, i didn't have computer at home until I was 12. I was only using one till that age, at my father's work and my school, so it was something new to me and special. Now everyone is born with one. Back then we had to find other ways to have fun, so we were riding our bikes, running around in our neighbourhoods and having fun with friends.
Anyway, i like "analyzing" personalities too. So tell me what you think of me as you said, i don't mind :)
Thanks so much for the invite! :) I don't mind chatting more, although, as you said, I as well don't have much time these days, so I'm barely on this thing. I usually visit only MAL from all pages.
Well, i definitely agree with you on that! Reality is a hell more important, but since internet people are still people, it makes it painful.
And tell me about it... when I was younger it was worse, but now I just try to avoid such weirdos. Plus I don't like posting pictures or anything like that online, since a lot of people become annoying as you said. Well... we all learn through mistakes and somewhat painful internet experiences, so we can avoid trouble next time :P
Well that is one bad thing about this site, that random weirdos can bother you anytime. *sighs* I know your pain, I've suffered too.. And it's REALLY annoying sometimes. Especially how someone can sneak up on you 24/7... Anywayz, I used this site like you, only to organise my anime and manga but I couldn't keep chaos out :P
So now I don't mind a lil chatting if its about stuff I have interest in and if the comments are nice and polite. I hate dramas, especially those on the internet.. and thanks again, glad my comment could chear ya up! ;)
