Cool to hear. I actually liked the Violence Jack OVAs and don't understand all the hate for it, even some old school anime fans seem to dislike hose OVAs. I wounder how the manga feels in comparison with the adaptation. You meant DOOM, as in he game right? I used to like that one quite a bit back in the mid nineties, the soundtrack was pretty badass too.
Hello there Exotic. I haven't been very active here, but I pop once in a while. Theres'a Club for Leiji Matsumoto works inhttps://myanimelist.net/clubs.php?cid=32051
But it's been a bit dead recently, but Maybe you can revive it, it certainly needs new blood for new discussions.
What happens is that the work is more focused on drama than on sci-fi. I guess it's seen from a poetic side and that's why there are so many inconsistencies, as you say.. Anyway, I agree with what you say.
The Maetel saga is my favorite. Captain Harlock is good, while Starzinger is average. I remember having seen Yamato, but it was many years ago. The saga of Maetel is very dramatic and that makes it great, especially in the final part of the story. Although the first part, when Millennial Queen is young (and good person haha in 1000-nen Joou: Queen Millennia) is interesting too.

Have you watched anything exciting recently?
Have a good week.
Hahaha, in the whole Anime World, things like this happens. It's common. It's illogical, but it's common.
I'm happy to meet another Leiji Matsumoto fan. His work is very good.
Also thanks for the warning. I'll prepare myself haha
