Yeah. They finally got off hiatus after almost 2 years. The shit's beast; too bad the anime doesn't get very far into present (not really) Guts' perilous journey. A season 2 would be sick.
The movies do get further in (haha) but the cgi is wack imo, wouldn't recommend it.

I can see why you wouldn't be that impressed with Berserk; it is pretty highly regarded for shit that doesn't seem that insanely original. Definitely an acquired taste.

I was half asleep when I marathoned the anime so I can't go into much detail, but my score didn't come out of my ass. If you aren't too impressed with it now , you wouldn't like it that much more but it does definitely get better. The climax is fuckin amazing, that's for sure. One of the top anime scenes in existence, some crazy shit. What makes it great is all the speculation you get and it's a great anime to discuss. Definitely worth watching even if just for the climax. There's a reason why it's highly rated and the manga is considered #1.

Why I'd recommend it in fair detail (fyi I just copied and pasted it and the manga and anime are practically the same)

I'd choke and fucking drop a bar on my neck if I worked out right now lol. I'd go straight to those foam rollers. Last time I was sick I was actually 12 or around that age with a 104°. That shit sucked.
