Interesting, I'm glad I actually heard you out as you had some interesting opinions that opened up my mind a little, as for kinugasa I was actually interested in reading another work of his in meteor world actor and yeah, I would hate for anyone to compare the standard manhwa "author" to kinugasa

Seeing another person's favorites you automatically make a judgement of how they may act, and tbh I too would be put off by my own favs, gn punpun, aot, mushoku tensei, and re:zero all have rather obnoxious fandoms that even I am put off by. But other series (I won't assume you've seen them) like houseki no kuni, mob psycho, Liz and the blue bird, and maybe fata Morgana' too (though I have seen an increase of hate towards the vn recently on other platforms) I can't see why you would dislike them to an extreme like may word it.

Making a MAL account at 11 was pretty crazy icl tho.

My favorites are really outdated and my feelings for some of them are but superficial by now, but I can see why you would think my favs prove my age. Many of them are due to nostalgia, like COTE, where it's more of a nostalgia bias and how it developed my ability to critically think on the multi-layered structure of a story due to the first few volumes having a false-narrator, but no I never was one of those who thought Ayanokoji is someone to become or smth adjacent to that.

But I will say that favorites, obviously being a subjective thing should be based more on personal attachment / how much it means to you. Much like how you have pet girl sakurasou as a favorite, I would presume that it's the most meaningful anime too you, and that's what a favorite is, I'mnot saying something like aot, chainsaw man, or cote is the most exceptional work ever, but they still hold a special place in my heart for what they did to me when I read them.

I've got a few vns I want to complete as well. Namely, the rest of the Sca-自 works and related works, some key stuff, maybe rance, fata morgana, and thats maybe it for now. although im up for more recommendations. I want to say: manga is an inferior medium to visual novels in terms of depth, most of the time. although, because of my current lifestyle where i study for college and read supplementary books on econ, technology, phil, and a broad variety of social sciences, manga is the most compatible medium for me to engage in, as it isnt as effort-based in interaction as novels and anime, allowing easier access to leisure, and most importantly what of which is able to be enjoyed concurrently with watching videos and attending lectures

of course goat. and nag\h, i added those anime last year in an attempt to add everything on the site to plan to watch, as I did plan to watch it all. nowadays, i am cutting my planning list manually, slowly but surely, in order to refine it to a granular result of just entries related to the entries i already have completed; or ones have progress on. im also deleting all hentai entries, as porn is a waste of time and is the highest form of brainrot on the site (note i still do not renounce eroge, as Sca-自 has blessed us). and yeah, ive heard and experienced the decline in anime this season; hopefully the next one will be better

and hahaha youl get there eventually. manga days arent as set-in-stone as anime days, so it doesnt take as much time as it should to hit x amount of days.
