But regardless of which website I use, it all sprouts from my love for anime. A love that still feels young considering I didn't start watching anime until roughly 2010. From there, it's like my life has been in a haze from jumping through so many fantastic anime. I attempted to watch everything on the top 100 list, and when I finished, my hunger only became deeper, and new anime had come out that cracked the top 100.
I used to think I knew exactly the type of anime for me. I always said it had to be dark or serious, and it is true to this day that comedy is always my weakest genre. However, I have grown to love all aspects of entertainment since then, including comedy. So before my favorites were only anime like Mushishi, or Monster, you know, the melancholic and grim stuff. But I also grew to love anime like Toradora, or Kuroko's Basketball. I have learned that literally any type of story can be conveyed in a way that I thoroughly enjoy, making the idea of anime as a whole seem even more ripe with unlimited potential.
When I find myself with A LOT of free time, I write about anime on my blog, but as of right now it hasn't been updated in a while. It's a large time investment, and the older I get, the less time i have to invest. It's an unfortunate loop, but I'm at least glad that I get to continue to watch new anime coming out. As long as I have that, I can be a pretty happy person.
Below are my top 50 anime as of 2019. You can click this link to read my blog detailing all of them!
