hope to see your thoughts/views there .
topic is about YUKING CHAN LYING and HACHIMAN disappointment
Personally, I wouldn't go looking for quality series in the rom-com demographic to begin with, since most series in that demographic are low on ingenuity and just spam tired cliches and tropes without end.
I heard that Golden Time was supposedly good though.
These last three episodes suffered tremendously from the issues that plagued the earlier episodes of season 2. Namely, an abundance of melodrama, cheesey "humor", shoehorned incest portrayed in a completely senseless and unbelievable manner, pandering to otaku fetishes, and two jaw-droppingly pathetic main characters who have the hots for one another.
Then the anime, at the last moment, suddenly seems to realize how stupid it's been from the get go and brings all that momentum to a screeching halt in the last few minutes of the final episode, replacing one form of stupid with another. It didn't even have the guts to stick with the obvious conclusion it was building towards all this time. Instead, it retconed the entire plot and everything that happened in the series. This basically renders the entire anime pointless and a waste of time. It's trollish and awful writing. Though that's arguably superfluous to point out anyway, since the anime would still be inane even if it stampeded along the incest route to the very end.
Anime such as this one are what give fans of Japanese media such a bad reputation. Almost every aspect of it is terrible IMO. So, yeah, it was incredibly cringe inducing and jarring to watch. What can I say? Thank God for the existence of anime that are actually good like Attack on Titan lol.
2. Whatever unethical thing Manami has done is a mere squirt gun compared to the tidal wave of blatant unethical behavior that Kirino has been doing for 26+ episodes. Which is why the sudden spike in people hating Manami over Kirino is unwarranted, and is a clear sign that people are looking at the issue with incredibly biased lenses. Makes me wonder why people think mole hills are bigger than mountains.
3. No idea. I'll never understand what people see in a terribly written story like this one, mainly its second season. The first season, despite some obvious flaws, was at least decent in its humor, drama, and character interaction. The only thing I can agree with that I did wrong was calling that one guy "kiddo". But that's a drop in the bucket compared to the lake of his negative words and attitude. A political example just doesn't work at all as a good analogy here. First, political examples are poor choices because they're going to be extremely controversial and thus have low chances of having significant impact. Second, politics actually matters. Some mediocre at best anime just doesn't at all matter in comparison. Thus, my not caring much is perfectly appropriate. Third, I actually did explain my position in the thread and why I hold to it. My saying that I don't care was simply in response to the people who wanted to jump down my throat over something that is ultimately trivial. It seems to me that people get so caught up in their shipping pairings and "lol incest ftw lol" that they lose sight of what's actually important. To clarify, I don't care what ultimately happens with this series because quite a lot of it has been rubbish so far, so there's almost no way it can redeem itself in just four more episodes.
No problem. Good to see there are still people on the internet with some sense of sincerity and decency. Really, the number of people on the internet who refuse to be transparent and hide who they really are behind a smokescreen of trolling, "humor", sarcasm, and other juvenile tripe gets weary after a while.
1) That the anime for Oreimo isn't over yet. And just because the LNs have Manami manipulating Kyousuke, doesn't mean the anime will necessarily follow suit in the exact same way. Hell, people who have read the LNs have been pointing out for both seasons that the anime changes or omits parts from the LNs. Thus I see no reason to jump to dogmatic conclusions about Manami being THE cause or the sole cause of Kyousuke's supposed degradation. But could Manami in fact be THE cause of Kyousuke's supposed degradation in the anime adaptation? Sure. I just didn't want to jump to conclusions.
2) Even if Manami turns out to be THE cause of Kyousuke's lack of ambition in his teens, that fact would not make me hate her. Since Manami has always been kinda bland and just.....there. Kirino, however, has actively been a repulsive character since season one, and thus she'll still be leagues more repugnant in my eyes than Manami could ever hope to be in the few special episodes that have yet to air.
That's it.
So to be honest, I really didn't understand why people were going all fanboy/fangirl crazy on me in there and not understanding how debates even work. Oreimo is an extremely shitty series to begin with, so it is baffling to me that people want to get super emotional about it. So eventually I just lost even the small interest I had in the thread because people insisted on ignoring what I was actually saying. Meh.

But I will try to get back to you about them soon.

All I was saying were two things in that thread:
1) That the anime for Oreimo isn't over yet. And just because the LNs have Manami manipulating Kyousuke, doesn't mean the anime will necessarily follow suit in the exact same way.
