My opinion is the correct one, because I am always right. I know this because I said so, and I am always right. You may criticise that logic as being circular, but circular logic works, because I said so, and I am always right. Since circular logic works, I am always right, and since I am always right, circular logic works.
To those of you who are unenlightened and disagree with any of my opinions, I truly pity you, even if I cannot possibly comprehend how much worse life must be without the natural gift of objectivity that I have been given.
Another talent of mine is my speling. and my, punctuation.
No one's ever gonna read this. Why did I even bother? Wait, if someone is reading this, that means that they'll see what I'm saying, and if no one is then they won't. Thus, it is only logical I should pretend like someone's going to read this, since, if they aren't, they won't know that I was wrong.
Wow. I am really touched by the incredibly large number of people who read this. You guys are the best. Thank you for wasting your time on me. I have no idea why you did it, nor am I aware that you did it, but thank you for doing it. It means a lot to me that there are so many people who are reading this and rolling their eyes at my mediocre sense of humour.
I try to give shows lower numbers than one would typically give with respect to how much I like a certain anime, as I want to be able to differentiate between different levels of good shows just as much as if not more so than bad shows.
A 10 doesn't mean a show is perfect. It isn't a 10 out of 10, it's just a 10, as in higher than a 9, lower than an 11. Of course, 11 isn't a score that can be given on MAL, but I also haven't felt the need to give any anime such a score. My 10s are the highest tier of anime I have encountered. As of writing this, the only piece of media that I would consider to be an 11 is Doki-Doki Literature Club. In theory, there could be an anime this good, but I haven't found one yet.
10: Masterpiece. One of the best anime I've ever seen. All elements of it are excellent and there are multiple ways in which it stands head and shoulders above most other anime. Example: Death Note
9: Great. Not quite as great as a 10, but still one of my favourite anime. It goes above and beyond achieving its goals and the vast number of positives about it more than compensate for a few issues I may have here and there. Example: Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai
8: Very Good. These are anime that weren't quite on the level of the 9s, but were still an excellent watch. There may be less that stands out to me about them, or more issues that I have with them, but they were still a great time and undoubtedly worth watching. Anything that scores an 8 or above is something I'm highly likely to actually get around to finishing. Example: Steins;Gate
7: Good. It seems like for a lot of people 7 is not a very good score, but it still represents shows I really like, so think of the word "Good" that's used to describe it on MAL as a bit of an understatement. There may have been some more significant flaws in these series, or they may not have been filled with as much greatness as higher scoring shows, but I still enjoyed most of if not all of the series. Example: Erased
6: Fine. I liked these series, but they were either weighed down by their flaws or didn't have as much going for them as the higher numbers. They were pretty good, but I don't usually feel motivated to finish them, even though I would've had a fairly nice time doing so. Example: Highschool of the Dead
5: Average. While I may be wrong here, I imagine that if I watched every anime this would be my average score (Since I tend to watch things that I like, my average score is around 6.5). These shows are either fairly unremarkable, or have too many things weighing them down to prevent them from getting a higher score, but I was usually having a decent time while watching them. Example: Sword Art Online
4: Bad. From here on out, I will tend to drop these shows before getting to score them (which I do after 3 episodes). These are shows that typically had some good things going for them, but had too many issues for me to focus mostly on the positives. They could also just be kinda "meh". Example: Rent-a-Girlfriend
3: Very Bad. These anime might have had some redeeming qualities, but they weren't nearly enough to make up for the amount of bad things these anime had going against them. Example: Nekopara
2: Horrible. These anime are either boring or insultingly bad. These are the most painful anime to watch through, as at least the 1s have more of a so-bad-it's-good appeal most of the time. Example: The Asterisk War
1: Appalling. These are the series that make you wonder how they were ever approved as a final product. The idea that people have made these unironically is baffling. Example: Arifureta
Wow weeb trash, only weebs watch so much anime! lol who even does that?!?
