Learning Japanese isn't hard like people talk it up to be, especially if you watch anime or have a hobby of reading. It's a time investment and not a technical or ability gated skill, unlike modern education would have you believe. This means even idiots and degenerates can learn it trivially.

Download Anki a flashcard program. Do 500 core word cards, nothing more is needed since it's just primer. Content like Cure Dolly (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XpuXerkGU8waJ4DPDNJA4bGeqOvM-csXjTe57iHARHc/edit#heading=h.77ctkiz6jal0) for grammar is largely more accurate but long and any smaller introduction is all that is needed for starting.

Download Yomichan a free pop-up dictionary program. Get some Japanese dictionaries from a server like TheMoeWay. Set it up with MPV with clipboard auto-copy, so that each subtitle will be copied to clipboard and can be parsed in Yomichan. Watch like 100-200 episodes of content looking up every new word and then you'll be ready to start reading, while continuing to gain an idea of what the language actually sounds like.
