right? time certainly flies. i haven't found myself on here in a while. in fact, and this is going to sound crazy but, i barely watch anime anymore! i just don't have the time really. and when i do, i find myself instead listening to music and just doing music-related things. i really should get back into though. there's a lot to watch...

hello there! it really has been a little while. i'm still around though mostly just watching and updating my lists, though i definitely check-in when am able.

and yes, i concur, growing up and dealing with responsibilities really does have a way of eating up your time. be careful -- it'll only get worse the older you become. :P

i haven't been on here much lately. updated a few things i've watched in my spare time but unfortunately my time has been limited as of late. lots of stuff going on in my life too now... hopefully my situation will clear in a month or two but we'll just have to see what happens i suppose. and i hope you're right about needing to go through certain things because i can't help but feel that sometimes there are just some things that people would be better off not ever going through. (-_-;)

i finished vampire princess miyu, which for a 1997 show i really enjoyed. the original OVAs were good too. i also started eureka seven. a friend told me to watch it like years ago and i kept forgetting about it; he kept asking me what i thought about it so i figured i should probably get on that. (^_^;)

other than those though, not much new on the anime front from my end... are you watching anything else?

i'm really sorry to hear that. it sounds like you're constantly going through a lot. just remember that if you're at the bottom you can't go anywhere but up. additionally, being a part of something terrible makes you understand and appreciate the good times when they are around. whatever it is you go through is what makes you who you are. and, it's good to know that you have people around you to support you. hopefully things start looking up for you soon.

i've never heard of my love story, but then again i guess i've only seen a handful of shoujo-type shows myself. but it might be something i'd enjoy... i just finished yona of the dawn and although it wasn't on the top of my list, i certainly didn't dislike it either.

shounen-type is another i don't usually watch. i own the entire dragon ball series, but mostly due to nostalgia (it was one of the first shows i ever watched oh-so many years ago). i keep trying to get myself into soul eater, but i think it's the animation style that really turns me away. who knows though -- i'll probably cave someday and try it out.

d gray man i actually enjoyed a bit. i was disappointed to see that funimation didn't acquire the licensing rights for anything past the 51st episode though. so that's pretty much where i stopped. been waiting for that since i started watching it years ago and would like to continue but i don't really want to switch from dubs to subs. but who knows? i may pick it up again.

you know the same thing happened to me with hell girl; i started watching it dubbed (great dubs in my opinion), but funi never picked up seasons 2 or 3. later on those seasons were acquired by sentaifilmworks -- which is good -- but as you may know they rarely do dubs and they definitely didn't do them for hell girl's second and third seasons. i caved and watched the rest in subs. don't get me wrong -- i actually watch most shows subbed, but i do like to have a continual experience and not have to change between them half-way through you know? ƪ(˘⌣˘)ʃ

reborn doesn't really catch my eye, but besides your personal recommendation there's also a lot of shining reviews on the series as well. maybe i'll see about giving that one a shot. (^_^)

oh yeah, it's definitely been a while. but don't worry -- most everyone i speak to on this site pretty much up and disappeared. haha but such is life sometimes. people get busy and come and go, sometimes i hear from them again and sometimes i don't. it is what it is.

sorry to hear about the illness and whatever else may have happened. sounds like you've been through a lot recently, but glad to hear things are good now. we don't have to chat here either if you don't want -- you are always welcome to send me a PM if you feel more comfortable talking about personal things there.

it's funny to me you say starting to drive is scary because when i was old enough to learn i totally avoided it as well. haha but you know, once i started to get into the swing of it i really started enjoying it. even now -- many years later -- i love driving. it's fun. 〜(^∇^〜）

i've had a few interesting things occur already this year, but nothing i should probably be discussing on an open forum such as this. otherwise though, fairly uneventful (no news is good news?). been working a lot and since my shifts were mostly at night i've been sleeping a lot during the day. of course that made it very difficult to get errands i needed finished since everything was essentially opened when i was asleep. i'm back to a normal day shift again and actually have the next 2 or so weeks off so i look forward to relaxing.

have you been watching anything? i've been tearing through my backlog like there's no tomorrow. seen a few new shows here and there, but mostly just took my 'plan to watch' list down from 200+ to around 80. i feel accomplished. haha and it's good to finally get around to seeing old shows that people talk about that i had never seen before.

my band recorded another video a while back. i haven't even seen it yet to be honest, but i think i'm only in it for like a second or two i think.

i also got addicted to a mobile game called "brave frontier." hahaha
