But the point stands, every aspect of this show has been done better elsewhere, so why bother watching FMP?

The way the robots are utilized is very Gundam-esque, notice how it's not the only show I compared it to. Certain aspects are taken from Gundam, not all of them.

Is every anime with robots similar to other anime with robots? Nope, that just happens to be the case with these two shows. Don't put words in my mouth.

It only becomes an issue when one version is far and away better than the other, at which point I'd state which version i saw. Again, it just isn't worth noting.

The robots make it similar. I didn't say it was identical, which allows for small differences. In essence, they are similar.

It doesn't make a difference which version I saw to the reader. If they assume I saw the English, they'll think I said it's ok. If they assume it was the Japanese version, same conclusion.

It's really a small thing you're making an issue out of.

In terms of animation quality, yes, it is unfair to compare them. However, in terms of what messages, themes, and emotions can be delivered via an animated film, I think it's a fine comparison.

I've seen it, I only add shows I've seen the entirety of, or what has been released so far.

The setting of a Sci-Fi show doesn't make it Sci-Fi. Whether the robots are used in space, or during a war on Earth, it's still Sci-Fi.

And it really makes no difference. If I feel a need to clarify, I will. Otherwise, assume both the Japanese and English actors did fine.

For future reference, please tell me which review of mine you have an issue with, I can't just magically know. I assume it's FMP, as you mention that quite a few times later on, but for the future please make that clear at the beginning.

And you realize you gave just as much justification for "the mech animations were decent" as "DUURRRR THEY SUCK CAUSE I SAID SOOO"? Whether you say something sucks or is decent, it needs backing up.

So let me back up the "suck" opinion. The animations were choppy, pure and simple. That is literally *all* it takes to ruin them, and make them a chore to watch.

Comparing Wall-E to Akira is fine. They are both animated feature films, I can compare them with no qualms.

So the lead character has a reason for being a total cock, great. That doesn't mean I magically like, or can tolerate, him. To the writers, don't write a shit character, even if you justify him being shit.

Are you honestly saying FMP isn't Science Fiction? They new and fantastic technologies being used to fight aliens, how the hell is this not Sci-Fi?

I've seen both versions, both have good voice acting. This is irrelevant.
