I've been watching anime since 2009 and my thoughts have changed on how i perceive some shows now compared to how i did when i started watching.
The only time i change a score for an anime is when i watch or rewatch it, there may be anime i watched when i was getting into the medium on my list that has still kept the same score, this is quite rare though, considering i've been rewatching quite a few shows over the years.
I'll now explain how i generally rate shows, if i was really going to be critical i would've not had even one show be 10/10, but i decided against doing that since i want to promote and support anime that i really enjoyed, so all my 10/10 or 9/10 shows are what i'd recommend to anyone else to check out, pay attention to genre though as i have a wide range so you may not really find yourself enjoying all of them.
For other shows that are below 5/10, i am still trying to rate them correctly and not just give a bad score because i dislike a show, but take into consideration story/animation/characters/voice acting/pacing/ending/music.
Worth noting that i've not updated my anime list in a while, and i've never really used my manga list seriously on the website, i've read hundreds of manga that i've never added here.
I've also read over 500 light novels and web novels, some may have had a few volumes but there are also others with 10 or more. If it happens that an anime is made with light novel as the source material, i've probably at least heard about it.
