I'm just a guy who's an otaku for fun.
A few points:
1. If you recommend me anything, don't be surprised if I turn it down. I know I'll end up disliking it in the few cases where I will refuse the series.
2. My watching is somewhat irregular because sometimes I'm busy. Though since anime is my main hobby I'm pretty much always watching something new. My current aim is to watch at least 50 minutes a day but ever since I mistakenly decided to get Fate/GO it has been very hard to keep up.
3. I try to rate every single anime regardless, and I will always write down why I rated it in the tags section, if it is left unrated I will write why as well. I only do this for completed and dropped anime for convenience, and I always try to keep my opinions of them up to date, so if you feel like it please go ahead and read a few.
4. I've stopped putting specials on my MAL when they don't add anything or are really short. I've kept up the ones I have already listed though. I also don't list anime I've partly watched before I created my MAL like Bakugan and Deltora Quest. To further add to this I'll only list hentai if I feel it is noteworthy.
5. I don't keep up with each season as I prefer watching completed series at my own pace, although there might be rare exceptions to this.
6. I don't let genres dictate what I watch but you may find that I dropped a few anime because of ecchi, while also having other anime in my favourites that have ecchi. In general I find it off-putting because it can be very distracting (Highschool DxD), however if it is tied into the plot/story nicely (Kill la Kill, Keijo!) I may end up respecting it more because of it. Other series may just be so good that the ecchi simply doesn't matter to me and I find it amazing regardless (Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo), or it's so distasteful that I can't look past it (Kiss x Sis).
7. My favourite characters list is out of date. It's simply impossible for me to keep picking favourites when there's so many characters to choose from. The list is still somewhat accurate as it is filled with characters I absolutely love, but I just can't fit in everyone I want to be in there.
8. I prefer subs over dubs, I never skip openings, I don't follow the three episode rule, I have no preference when it comes to anime vs manga, I try not to limit myself to any specific genres and I always try to be as honest as possible.
