Director Mizushima Seiji Hints New Anime of Kimi ni Todoke

In the live streaming program of Mobile Suit Gundam 00 The Movie, director Mizushima Seiji leaked that Nagasaki Kenji (the assistant director of Mobile Suit Gundam 00) is working on the storyboard of Kimi ni Todoke. No official announcement about new anime of Kimi ni Todoke has been made so far.

A live action movie of Kimi ni Todoke will be premiered on September 25th.

oh my god crying THIS REALLY NEEDS TO HAPPEN. considering how i actually prefer the anime over the manga ( oops?? ) the music they use is /PERFECTION/ just. arghhhh i'd be happy if there's a 2nd season. ;n;

I really hope they go through with a new one, I was not satisfied after the first season, there was still so much left unresolved in my eyes.

....lol haters. If not, this is one of the most realistic shoujo in a while. Male protagonist isn't typical rude/selfish/mean/fuckin god sake annoying bishiez and Female protagonist's social ineptness is on the level of hikikomori but still very innocent and honest.

If this gets next season, I will definitely get it.

I WOULD CRY SO FREAKEN BAD IF THEIR WAS A 2ND SEASON..

cause, the ending of the 1st was so..cliffhanger like..

basically told us, "CONTINUE IT IN THE MANGA"

Not sure about the down-to-earth but I do agree it was different from the usual shoujo plot of a stupid girl head over heels for an uncaring bishounen.

BTW, the one who wondered whether I had the patience of a saint... who knows, probably. I loved the show for what it was, two very pure youngsters in love. I guess they could have done without a few episodes here and there that led nowhere, but I was never utterly bored. Perhaps I'm one of the few who can't get enough of watching a more pure brand of love than the one most anime show. Many would argue it's not realistic but since when did anime have to be utterly realistic...or since when did super-smart cold jackasses turn out to be a realistic male lover.

Hah, I like it too but somehow I just don't like an idea of watching another 12 episodes of it and pissing out because they still didn't date. So I would prefer an OVA like Shiroth said.

Did the people who claim KnT was angsty even watch the show? Sure, there was some emotional turmoil, but by no means was it angst. Just because someone gets sad or angry doesn't mean it's angst. The show was one of the most believable romantic comedy anime I've ever seen because its emotions were down-to-earth. It never took itself too seriously, and the emotion was genuine. It wasn't phoned in, it made sense for the overall story.
