R.I.P Satoshi Kon. I cried reading your last words- they were so full of humanity and the emotions that all of us feel everyday. Your films 'Millennium Actress', 'Paprika', and 'Tokyo Godfathers' are some of my favorites, and watching some of them were life-changing moments for me. I hope that 'Dream Machine' can be made; If it is, I will definitely watch it, and think, "This is the magic of Satoshi Kon.".

What an unexpected death.

I think I'll watch some of his works really soon (Paprika, Perfect Blue, Millenium Actress, Tokyo Godfathers, Paranoia Agent), as a homage.

RIP.

One of the very few masters working in anime dies an early, painful death.

Meanwhile, thousands of hacks in the industry continue to proliferate their garbage well into their sixties. Depressing, but so very common.

I read about this in the newspaper a few days late. Wow.

May he rest in peace, even though in his final 'goodbye' statement he did express regret about not finishing Yume Miru Kikai and how he worried about the staff as well.

An unfortunate loss.

God, that was heart wrenching and beautiful at the same time. It's good to know that he was at peace when he left.

"Now excuse me, I have to go."

He must have really felt horrible for Maruyama-san, always relying on him.
It's sad for "Dreaming Machine", really it is.
It was a very nice read, I'm still glad that he managed to leave with so few regrets, even if by chance that he lied just to appease everyone's minds, he's done a good job.

To think that last week I re-watched Paranoia Agent entirely in one night and was hoping to see more from him; I didn't even know he already had health problems since early this year, eugh.
Tonight, Paprika in his honor; I've been wanting to rewatch it recently, I guess this will be the good time to do so.
