Tight Production Schedule of Mayoi Neko Overrun
According to Presepe news, the director of Mayoi Neko is switched in every episode and there is no general director who oversees the whole series. It's an unprecedented production scheme.

This is retarded.
No wonder when I hit the third episode I thought this series is more awful that it's usually meant to be. Ya know, since it's your typical harem shit. I am kind of anticipating it getting even more messed up from the poor directing.
If you think up to ep 3 was bad wait till you watch up to ep 8.
Read my review for more details.

Definitely a promising start.
Yep, the initial episode directed by Shin Itagaki was definitely better than what I expected. The second one was a bit boring but I'll watch the third at least to see where it goes. Also, I find most of the characters to be quite engaging and the scenario's simple and somewhat cliché but not badly written for now.
In fact, if you have the right storyboarders, a good animation director and a capable main scriptwriter, you definitely don't need to have a series coordinator/overall director for such a show, it's not GITS:SAC or LOGH... And there are so many movies and series (not only in animation and not only in Japan) not even directed by the guy who has his name credited as director that it's by far not an unusual occurence in today's film industry. The difference is that, generally speaking, the producer doesn't communicate such news on twitter :)
