I've never heard of the novel (and its Engrish title. And only felt any interest in it at all when I read the words "Yoshitoshi ABe".) so I am more than willing to give this film a go. Probably won't be good, but I also plan on watching Eclipse, so y'know.

Novel: great
Movie: cool
By Warner: Meeeeh. - Don't want a hollywood mainstreamisation...they probably just want to make an effect orgy out of it ...and maybe in 3D too...

The synopsis doesn't sound that special, but I guess its HOW they show it not what they show.

Was a pretty interesting novel. I'd probably be willing to see a live action release if it's anything like the original. Most of the interesting portions are the mental developments though, so it should be interesting to see how Warner Bros goes about adapting this.

Sounds great, wish they just stick to the manga's story and plot. It's only one novel. Don't make a script, please >_<

Sounds good but damn Hollywood. They've got to come up with original scripts of their own.

Wow. The novel sounds very interesting.

Interesting. The premise is similar to the manga L∞p. But will it turn out well? :/

Wait, is this related to Blame in any way?
