'Shangri-La Frontier' 3rd Season in Production

The 25th and final episode of second season of Shangri-La Frontier: Kusoge Hunter, Kamige ni Idoman to su ended with a third anime season announcement on Sunday. The official website also revealed a commemorative visual (pictured).

Produced by animation studio C2C, the second season began airing on October 13 last year, with the first season also airing in 25 episodes in Fall 2023, adapting Katarina and Ryousuke Fuji's action fantasy manga. Crunchyroll streamed both seasons with multiple subtitles and dubs.

Katarina began writing the story as a web novel, abbreviated as Shanfro, on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in May 2017. Fuji began drawing the manga adaptation in Weekly Shounen Magazine in July 2020. Kodansha published the 21st volume on February 17, with the 22nd scheduled to be released on April 16. Shanfro has a cumulative 11 million copies of its volumes in circulation.

Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English for digital release in November 2020. The 19th volume went on sale on March 5, with the 20th set to go on sale on Tuesday.

Not surprised they are just about done the arc in the manga that will be put into season 3, its gonna be fun. Probably will take a year to get released because its a bunch of chapters lol

i just notice the studio for this franchise is not busy at all like there is no upcoming anime for them other than this as of this writing so i expect another 2 cours sequel for this https://myanimelist.net/anime/producer/605/C2C

Generational Run. I think this is first series in a loooong time to get 3 seasons practically back to back 26 episodes nonetheless.

Expected by how season 2 ended, but it's good news. Wasn't a big fan of ShanFro at first, but it's really good for an action fan like me.

I'm glad to see it's popular enough or at least financially successful enough to get another 2-cour season. Considering they count the number of episodes as one, I was afraid they originally wanted to do no more than two.
