Web Manga 'Kao ni Denai Kashiwada-san to Kao ni Deru Oota-kun' Gets TV Anime

Production company NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan opened an official website for a television anime adaptation of Fuyu Azuma's Kao ni Denai Kashiwada-san to Kao ni Deru Oota-kun (Inexpressive Kashiwada and Expressive Oota) manga and revealed the main cast, staff, visual (pictured), and first promotional video on Friday.

Azuma serialized the romantic comedy manga in the Dra-Dra Sharp# website from June 2018 to June 2023. Fujimi Shobo published the tenth and final volume in July of the same year. Kadokawa licensed the manga in English for digital release.

Synopsis
With a smirk, Oota disregards his single-digit test scores and searches for a new source of amusement. He is soon captivated by his classmate Kashiwada, a mysterious student who consistently wears a blank face. Oota conspires to break her placid demeanor through scares and mischievous schemes, though his tactics always seem to backfire.

Oota is known as the class clown and is constantly disciplined by his teacher, who claims "his face gives it away." To no fault of his own, he lacks control of his emotions and facial expressions. Kashiwada, on the other hand, seems perpetually emotionless and unreadable—no one knows what she is thinking!

Oota and Kashiwada are complete opposites, but that does not stop a unique relationship from developing between them. As they realize their feelings for each other, it raises an important question: do opposites really attract? [Written by MAL Rewrite]

@tragedydesu @Piromysl Kashiwagi is not so much a kuudere as an odd person in a good and funny sense, who does not know how to "correctly" show emotions in response to a stimulus.

OH MY GOD. They finally decided to adapt this? I've been following this manga for years and it sometimes felt like an anime was already announced. But it looks like it's only happening now. Amazing meme-worthy romcom. Also, it's 10 volumes of fairly short chapters, can we expect a full adaptation like Tomo-chan and Fake Harem?
