'Watashi wo Tabetai, Hitodenashi' Reveals Additional Cast, Staff, First Promo for Fall 2025

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Sai Naekawa's Watashi wo Tabetai, Hitodenashi (This Monster Wants to Eat Me) manga revealed additional cast, staff, and the first promotional video on Monday. The anime is scheduled to premiere in October 2025.

Voice actresses Yui Ishikawa (NieR:Automata Ver1.1a) and Fairouz Ai (Chainsaw Man) are joining the cast as Shiori Oumi and Miko Yashiro, respectively.

Yuusuke Suzuki (Duel Masters King Max) helms the anime with chief director Naoyuki Kuzuya (Eiyuuou, Bu wo Kiwameru Tame Tenseisu director) at Studio Lings. Mitsutaka Hirota (Gimai Seikatsu) is handling the series composition and penning the script. Sou Ikuyama (Oomuro-ke: Dear Sisters chief animation director) is designing the characters and Keiji Inai (Burn the Witch) is composing the music.

Naekawa began serializing the girls love drama manga in Dengeki Maoh magazine in August 2020. Kadokawa published the ninth volume on October 25.

Yen Press licensed the manga in English in January 2024 and released the second volume on September 17. The third volume went on sale on January 21, with the fourth volume scheduled to release on May 27.
