'Boku to Roboko' Movie Announces Additional Cast

The official website for the Boku to Roboko (Me & Roboco) anime series revealed additional cast, character trailer, and a visual (pictured) for the anime movie on Monday. The movie is scheduled to premiere in Japanese theaters on April 18.

Roboko (Classic Battle World ver.): Mayumi Tanaka (One Piece)
Roboko (Classic Sci-Fi Action World ver.): Shigeru Chiba (Yuu☆Yuu☆Hakusho)
Roboko (Romantic Comedy World ver.): Sumire Uesaka (Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san)
Roboko (Shouwa-era Gag Manga world ver.): Masako Nozawa (Dragon Ball)

Akitarou Daichi (Kamisama Hajimemashita) returns to direct the movie at Gallop. Other returning staff includes Sayuri Ooba (Oniichan no Koto nanka Zenzen Suki ja Nai n da kara ne!!) and Yuuko Ebara (Yu☆Gi☆Oh! VRAINS animation director) as scriptwriter and character designer, respectively.

The anime adapts Shuuhei Miyazaki's sci-fi gag manga in Weekly Shounen Jump which began serializing in July 2020. Shueisha published the 20th volume on January 4.

VIZ Media licensed the manga digitally in English in July 2021 and simulpublishes the chapters on its Shounen Jump platform. The 14th volume went on sale on January 28. Shueisha's Manga Plus platform also simulpublishes the manga in English.
